Lions Played Very Smart Footy This Evening

I was in attendance this evening at tonights game and was very impressed by the way the Brisbane Lions played there football tonite and would like too say I think the will be the ones that end up winning the Ansett Cup.

The Hawks did comeback at the Lions very very well in the 3 term but back in the 4th The Lions got all on top of them in the last term.

The Umpiring was shocking tonight both ways and I would like to say that the umpiring is going too be shocking this season as it was tonight and last weekend against the roos at Colonic Stadium.

And a big Hi goes out too the Lions Cheersquad who were very loud and were always on top of The Hawks in Cheering and seemed like they had more support then Hawthorn which was great too see and hear.

Yeh I noticed the Lynch Mob too tonite and there seemed too be some kinda fight in that area as well in the 3rd term.

It was a sweet moment when the commentator announced, "The Brisbane Lions are in the Grand Final".

Had a real nice ring to it.

I know it's just pre-season, but hey, let us enjoy it!!!!!!! There'll be more to come, but this is pretty good for a start. GO THE MIGHTY LIONS!!!!!!!!!!

I'd say they played good footy, but I don't know about smart footy. I got really frustrated when they kept on bombing the ball into the forward-line rather than looking for leads. The hawks must have got five or six goals on the rebound.

This comes as no surprise to me. I'm sure I'll get all the gossip on it at Roystock 2001 at Brunswick St Oval tomorrow.
