In the wrap they mentioned former Grogan Medalists Matt Payne and Danny Wise. Have these guys had runs with AFL clubs before? is there a possibility of them getting drafted in the foreseeable future?

I would love to unearth a Cornow or Barlow from under our noses.

Wise is 29, but your point is valid. With compromised drafts, GCS and GWS and Pods/Barlow success the opportunities for the top state league players has never been better. IMO AFL recruiters should look at C Ilett and possibly Rocco Tangutalin from NT Thunder and Zorko from Broadbeach. Payne is also a very good player.

I reckon several mature players will be plucked from SANFL,WAFL, VFL in next 2 years.

Re: Clarke - Voss has said he will be out for one more week just to be safe. Thats why he wasnt selected. Whereas Drummond was gonna play ressies this week just to give him some match practice.

Who are the midfield standouts ? I think we would be pretty strong with the likes of Sheldon, Harwood and Beams playing in there. Some hard players to beat for first use of the ball.
