Interesting. I have no idea how the matchups will work from that. Our forward line is still a bit of a work in progress in how to replace Daniher and with the injury to Day we are struggling with the backup ruck role the most.

Hipwood is 203cm but more mobile than tall in how he plays. He's been doing more of the ruck back up work and its costing him a bit of run.

Morris is only 191cm but more of a marking threat. Maybe more similar to Fogerty?

Gardiner is playing a makeshift forward role as 194cm. I probably didnt know he was that tall? But clearly is learning for the role. Sometimes he is playing a more negating forward role rather than a proactive goal threat.

Rayner 187cm can play pseudo tall forward out of the goal square. While Lohman, Ah Chee and Cameron are all in the 180s and can be high flying they are small forwards.
I'm sure I heard it mentioned over the Essendon game by one of the commentators that they think the 191cm is BS. I'm recall something along the lines of being bigger than listed or something.

Yeah that feels like his draftee measurement. Pretty sure most players heights seem off. Would like to see them all lined up properly but still think he would be similar or shorter than Gardiner

I did not mention Laird may be available for the Crows in my preview.
He did not play last week and not on their injury list so i missed him. Was managed.
The Crows board are 60/40 on him returning.
Quite a few thinks Smith should retain his spot but i think they will name Laird.

its going to be wet all weekend
Even though we seem to have problems in the wet from time to time we have more experience than Adelaide with a slippery ball and I don't mind if it's wet for this particular game . A dry ground on the Adelaide oval with the form they're in would be a reasonably big ask.

After three weeks on the sideline with what the club has called "soreness", Oscar McInerney should be available to resume the ruck role from the more-than-steady Darcy Fort for Friday night's trip to Adelaide to face the Crows. Coleman has suffered a setback in his return from a ruptured ACL, straining a quad while training at the weekend. Initially sidelined with swelling in his reconstructed knee following his return match against Melbourne, he will now be out until after the mid-season bye. Will McLachlan continues to apply pressure from VFL level with five goals last weekend. – Michael Whiting

Looks like Kiddy may never recover completely from his knee injury , seems to have one setback after another .

Such a shame .

I think he will, but it'll take time. I know there are posters who aren't happy about our season despite banking wins (still bizarre to me), but doing so has meant we've been VERY conservative with players returning to football. It's a luxury not often afforded and one such situation we wouldn't have been in last year.

Just be cautious, and then more cautious. Even if it is the rest of the year. People forget. He did not do a normal ACL. His was smashed out, thumping the rest of his knee on the way through. Long term recovery.

Hope Keidean’s quad heals quicker than Jared Brennan’s.

Rory Laird was managed for the big win against the Swans and will be available to return. With no fresh injuries out of that game, changes to a settled and in-form team will be minimal. How the Crows handle prized draftee Sid Draper will be interesting after back-to-back weeks as the starting substitute with limited game time, and a third game prior to that being substituted off. Zac Taylor was an emergency against the Swans after being omitted and is on the cusp if change is needed. Defender Charlie Edwards and wingman Billy Dowling remain the in-form SANFL options given there was a bye at the lower level. On the injury front, Ryan suffered a jaw injury at training last week and underwent surgery, while Nick Murray will resume training with the main group this week. Young forward Welsh required surgery last week to repair a fractured toe that he suffered in the SANFL. – Nathan Schmook

Kai and now Kiddy who have played one AFL game and reinjured themselves. This is either extremely poor luck or we need to review what we classify as being fit and recovered.

Kiddy was always going to be a slow burn with a potential for up and downs and setbacks.

Are the boys on break at the moment with the gap between games, as Kiddy was in SW WA over the weekend just gone.

Dono. They sometimes give them a day or two off when they have these big breaks between games, I thought.
