He's still a young man with an unusual set of circumstances but in no way career ending.

He'll be back in time.

I didn’t say it was career ending , I said he may never recover completely from his injury. Some players play with problems for a lot of their careers .
It’s just a shame that his career is in its early stages to have this setback .

Hopefully in time he heals , he is such a talent .

I would take a guess, only based on the rain records in SE Queensland and SA that the Lions have played and especially trained in many more rainy sessions this year than the Crows, in fact I'd guess the Lions have had their 'wettest' training season in many years including a cyclone. I know my farm on the Sunshine Coast has had its wettest year in the 11 I've been here by quite a long way.

Looks like Kiddy may never recover completely from his knee injury , seems to have one setback after another .

Such a shame .

Kiddys injury was very different to a typical acl - he was kicking and the lower leg was blocked while the thigh kept moving. Way more damage than just the acl, and all the muscles around the knee compensate and change and potentially injure.

Hopefully it's just time that will help. I'd be ok with write this year off and come back next year if it'd fix things. He's to good to lose from the game entirely.

Fair call Clarky, it's been very dry here in Melbourne for the last six months. I assume SA would be similar.

Being a farmer I've been following the farmers in SA and Vic and they are saying they are in one of their worst droughts ever and are getting rid of stock they can't feed, Qld and Northern NSW farmers are having their stock washed away in floods - its crazy.

Have to come prepared for the uncontested mark game not working in heavy rain and what to do. Fingers crossed, Answerth style of grab footy and kick long to gain territory might be in vogue this game.

At this stage in our season I dont think we are playing well enough to beat The Crows in Adelaide. That said, we play 3 quarters of our best footy and we will get them.

7 of the Crows 8 wins this season have been against teams currently outside the top 8, their 1 win v the current top 8 was against the Giants, losses v top 8 > Suns(1 pt), Cats(19 pts), Dockers(18 pts), Magpies(10 pts).

No doubt the Crows will be setting themselves for this game as their biggest examination to date, if we are similarly motivated I'm confident of a Lions victory.

Definately not everyone like you post Last week was typical of the way we have played so far this season. Crows are in great form and are even better at home. We need someone better than Hippy at rucking. We need him in the forward line desperately along with Big O & Day back in the 22. Our defence this week will be under significant pressure all game while our midfield need to break even at best with theirs to give us a chance of winning.
Not saying we cannot win. Just saying their form is better than ours right now. No need to panic if they get the 4 points anyways. We have done very well to set ourselves up for the run home. I look forward & excited to see us hit our straps come August/September.

The question is, will the Lions lose their first away game this year.

Normally i would prefer to play on a dry surface. The better side usually gets the points.

However, at this stage of the season i think a wet game gives us a better chance of beating a team that has posted some huge scores this season.
