Roo gave an assessment of our list tonight on Ch 7 tonight.

He said that he thinks it is our best list ever.

Having said that, he said that the club needs a tall key defender and a marking ruckman with more versatility to complement it's list.

He said that the long term of the midfield is good with Reilly, Schuback and Johncock sure to be added to the mid-field next year.

He finished by saying that he thinks that next year will be Hentschel's year either at CHF or FF, as in Roo's opinion he has as much talent as he's seen in a similar type of player of that age.

Just watching Fox Footy, Terry Wallace had a different opinion.

He thinks that the Crows are entering dangerous territory by having traded draft picks for experienced players, which has also prevented their young players from getting a game and developing. He likened it to Richmond's decline, which I thought was rather dramatic and overly gloomy.

On a more positive note I saw Carey on Fox on the Crow Zone show and he will definitely be going around for at least next year. It was a good interview and he finished by saying that he would love to finish his career with a premiership

I have been in contact with one of my sources this morining and there are some interesting ideas being thrown up at the AFC.

I got the mail on 3 possible deals.

First one involves Matthew Bode :(.

AFC are apparently making a big attempt at getting Nick Smith from Melbourne. Early rumour suggests that Nick Smith and Pick 20 are possibly coming out way for Matthew Bode.

2nd rumour is that if Matthew Bode deals goes through, Crows will make a big push for Brent Guerra. We are prepared to part with our 2nd round pick (29) to get Guerra

3rd Rumour is that AFC are really interested in Cameron Faulkner from Western Bulldogs, while Doggies are interested in Perrie.

I am a bit reluctant to trade Bode now that Bicks is retired but if we can get our hands on Guerra then that offsets it somewhat.

If these deals go through we end up with picks 14, 20, 45, 61 which would be useful in getting some decent youth into the club.

Should be an interesting month:D

Thoughts?????

Is Faulkner the one the crows were calling the next mcleod last year?

I thought we were only trading Perrie for a KKP or a ruckman?

I'm with everton, I doubt Faulkner is going anywhere, especially particularly for Perrie, even despite their need for talls and the Sarge's improvement.

You could sway me Stiffy but letting us know who is your SOURCE!?? Is this person really high up in the organisation? Someone who works at the place? A secretary? Someone who listens in sneakily by way of a mic hidden in a pot plant in John Reid's office?

Give us something ;)

I think there is a very good hint there;)
Ah good, my memory is working fine.

Re deleting, I can't tell if you're serious or not... since you quoted it, I'm guessing you're not.

Faulkner?

Edit: He's not going anywhere.
I never said that he was. All I said is that Crows are really interested in him while your mob has approached the Crows RE: Perrie.

Chances of that trade happening are unlikely as it would cost a lot more than Perrie to get Faulkner IF he was to be traded;)

Gone. There are still a couple of mentions on your source contained within old threads on this board.

But don't worry, they're buried deep within the bigfooty abyss. (Until someone decides to dredge them up. ;))

They can go ahead if they want but they must be prepared to search LONG and HARD;)

I hope he doesn't disappoint this time:(

Then again he might be feeding us lies.

Everyone at AFC keep telling us they need a key backman that can play on the likes of Lynch (Hint: another quick fix)

Who could they have un mind??????
