I think AVCO, if he isn't contracted for next year, then he falls under the AFL's "equation" system where they calculate what picks they give us in compensation.
That sucks they could say his a 4th round pick instead of the second round 19th pick overall when he was selected. He should at minimum get a top 20.

At least Hampson can mark the goddamn football. 2 games back into the senior side after being injured at the start. Ive always thought Ohailpan was a stop gap at FF until we got a real forward.

He's our Travis Cloke. No, the Pies cant have him for a key forward.

Henderson needs to actually hold a grab if he's going to be a key forward. Especially if the little guys are going to fade in and out. Thats where Waite makes the difference up forward.

I think Thornton, Browne, Wiggins are for delisting or trading at the end of the year. jacobs will be kept for backup. I wonder if Carlton are just resting the ruckmen in the VFL..it does have a feel of some sort of rotation at the moment.

Imagine how gutless you have to be to post under an alias and pretend that you're a Carlton supporter with a join date of July.

Your join date is September, thats even later in the year.......

P.S. I am not pretending to be a Carlton supporter, Unlike you I am a paid up member, enjoy..............

I'm 99% certain,I heard Swanny say on radio (I think AW) in the pre-match interview on Friday that Grigg was contracted.

Did anyone else hear this interview?

Good update Blue and Silver.

Our current list has improved markedly and rightly so.

Our immediate 2012 list requirements will centre around grabbing an elite medium half forward or winger (whichever drops for best available). A lot also depends on our medium utility HBFers. We all have such high hopes for Duigs, Laidler, Davies and maybe Lucas at times. Hopefully 1-2 work out but sheer numbers isn't a guarantee.

Lucas may not have the hardness and suspect he might be a great winger/midfielder with pace to burn.

This year, WHs did a great job solving some positional/structural issues. Hopefully we can do it again in 2012/2013 drafts to help continue our rise.

Dylan Buckley will fulfill that quality winger void.

And then we'll clone Mark LeCras for half forward.

I think that Dylan will be stepping up his training program at the blues facilities this year so that next year when he steps out in the Old Dark Navy Blue, he will be a ready made footballer.

Cordy will be ramping up his training for the year and getting his tank ready for running the wings at speed and playing merry havoc with the opposition.

Updated the OP to include a mid-season report on all players. Might be helpful for anyone who wants to know where fringe players are at. At this stage I wouldn't want to be on the MC or in charge of the list at the end of the season. A lot of tough choices to be made. Curnow, Touhy at least look like rookie promotions at the end of the year, not to mention the F/S drafting of Buckley plus 1 (AFL rules). So 4 senior listed players have to go

I was bored. OK
