You are an absolute muppet mate, Hooper Peterson and brown are hardly superstars, your speaking as if mark lecras has to be the 1 taking their spot. Have you watched any VFL games this year? Because if you did you would realise that Breust, Lisle, Savage and Shiels all deserved to get games but didn't due to (imo) poor selection. All 4 are more than capable of playing games next year and ALL have talent, you just haven't seen it.

Good delistings, except we should have offered Skipper a senior spot, and Morton & Suckling should have gone.

Also, losing McGlynn & Kennedy was the definition of poor list management.

Has/had potential.
Was thrown around in every single position imaginable, from FF, to ruck, to CHB and wing/rebounding HBF.
I thought he did okay at senior level with limited game time.
Confidence was absolutely SHOT after his injury at the start of this season (after showing some good signs in 2009) and fell out of favour with the coaches - the point of no return.

I agree with Topend the players you listed didn't get games because they wern't good enough. Go back and look at the comments re Peterson Hooper Moss Brown etc.throughout the year and the talk about there positive impact in our forward line. Remember the constant talk of the X factor Hooper and Peterson had (still have). Now their delisted and the knives are out - yeah they had bad attitudes, i've heard this was happening etc... is all a bit sad. Didn't work lets move on nothing to do with Pelchen, Clarko etc these things happen. The critics are here now but where were they when Peterson took that mark and basically saved the game against Sydney earlier on this year. 2011 lets focus.

I think everyone should settle down.

We under performed in both 2009 and 2010 and we need to trust our coaching staff.

Most (if not all) players delisted will NOT WIN US A FLAG. I cant comment on the rookies cause i didnt see them.

Trust Clarko and his team who won us flag in 2008 which was before most of the true believers could have happened.

If our list goes to 30 who can play (like the Pies this year) then we are a shot.

just a dud - though people will try to make excuses on here. You probably wouldnt have seen much of him unless you go to box hill seconds games unfortunately.

We finished 7th and lost our first final to Freo and players like Shiels couldn't even get a proper run. We kept going back to players like Ladson, who even Ray Charles could see, the game has passed him by.

Good that you aim high though.

I dont think so. Clarko didnt rate them so they got fed up and wanted to go. If he thought they were good and committed to playing them and giving them good contracts they would have stayed.

Same with Skipper and prob Muston - and Zac a couple of years ago.

We will soon see if Clarko is wrong about Musto and Skipper like he was about the other 3...

All in all im happy

we can argue semantics about individuals,muston,petersen etc,and while i still burn with kennedy last year its a classic clarko move.

he has now created genuine senior opps within our starting 22(oops 21 and sub)therefore creating some hunger and desire with the younger 1-2 years on the list playing group,shifting there psychological approach.

Also has put some sustained pressure on himself as well,he realises at a minimum we need a prelim final next year,otherwise he's struggling.

my observation he works best under pressure, the 'bunker' complex .... good luck napoleon...........................

if this is correct this sums this whole delisting thread up...skipmyster and musto showed us lots i reckon and got shafted...morton promised the world and delivered an atlas...and we think thats better than ticker, soul, heart, whatever you like to call it!

Pretty disappointed with the list changes.

Like many, I thought Muston and Skipper should have been given new 1 year contracts.

I'm really not sure who will play the small forward role now that Hooper and Peterson are gone.

We have Buddy, Roughy, Osborne, Rioli in the forward line, but not much else now.

Given the above, I thought Moss might be worth another year too.

No real issue with the delisting of Taylor (now that we have Hale) nor Stokes.

I thought Suckling was lucky.

Like everyone else, i'm surprised at the amount of delistings. Most of them are pretty reasonable.

Skipper was recruited to fill a hole in our ruck stocks last year. His position was always going to be temporary. With Renouf, a fit Bailey, Lowden coming on and picking up Hale, Skip just isn't needed anymore. He can thank the Hawks for resurrecting his career, he now has value and a good chance to pick up a senior spot on an AFL list. All the best to him!

Muston and Dowler are probably a bit unlucky. Sounds like they fell out of favour with the coaches. Moss too.

All in all, i'm not going to lose sleep over the changes.

Guys, word going round is that both have been offered better deals with more job security elsewhere. Now I'm not sure if that's true, but it seems like a strange, useless rumour for someone to make up if it's not.

Maybe we should wait to see if either or both get drafted late in the national draft, or in the PSD, before laying the blame onto our club. If they don't get picked up, we know they were simply delisted. If they do, it still doesn't prove anything, but would be a fair indication that they were approached by that club, particularly if they go early.

Just on Morton also, by all reports had a decent year playing down back in a new role. Still, he and Suckers are both lucky.

am i the only one who thinks Simon Taylor is pretty stiff to get the chop? considering he was injured this year, surely he deserved another chance.
am very pissed off Peterson is gone too. was a massive fan. should've persisted with him i reckon. also feel really bad for Muston, Skipper and Moss. hope they get another chance.

Agree that Skipp would have been 3rd or 4th in line at the Hawks, no room for him here, which is probably why he asked to be delisted for better opportunities elsewhere (if the rumour is true). Disagree that his performance was over-rated this year. He has that look about him that says 'Oh he's only a battler, he'll give his best but that's it', and I think people are drawn into this misguided outlook. He really did have quite the season, and it's no coincidence that once he (and Burger) came into the side that we started winning.

I'll be watching Skipper, Muston, Hooper and Peterson's careers with interest should any of them get picked up.

Disappointed with Skipper being delisted. He was more than handy this year and I could see a spot for him in the senior team. If he wanted to leave could we not have traded him for draft picks or another player? Given his good form I would have thought he would have some value. We now get nothing...

If the club was serious Ladson would have been delisted too.

Quite frankly, we should also delist some of the recruiting and player development staff who brought these players to the club. A really poor return given our high draft picks.
