Luckily I had some downtime at Istanbul Airport on the way home :tearsofjoy:
Yeah I was torn between not wanting to bother you about it and also not wanting to volunteer myself for the job.

I was going to send a PM but didn't want to seem needy.

2024 is a crunch year for us regarding contract status of some of our essentials. I suspect Ambrogio will start working on extensions next year, a year ahead of contract end dates.

ANOTHER YEAR FOR LIONS' LESTER

RYAN Lester is set to go around for a 13th season in Brisbane.
The 30-year-old is yet to put pen to paper on a contract extension, but he is understood to have been offered a new deal for 2023.

Despite being squeezed out of Chris Fagan's plans in 2022, Lester has been included in the leadership group for the past five years and long been a favourite inside the Brisbane headquarters.
Lester only managed three senior appearances this year, but he was in the squad for large chunks of the year, including all three finals and round 23.
The Victorian shared Brisbane's reserves best and fairest award with Jimmy Tunstill after playing 18 games in the VFL this season.
Lester played 17 games in 2021 and has played 161 in total since being selected with pick No. 28 in the 2010 NAB AFL Draft. – Josh Gabelich

Great news!

Struggling to understand how we were able to complete the Dunkley trade without retaining a future 4th round pick? This is discussed on Twitter here with Michael Whiting but I don't think he's right... All the correspondence I've seen says we gave Hawthorn our 4th round pick, yet he seems to think Hawthorn gave us theirs 🤯

It was Geelong's future 4th Round Pick which we traded to the dogs. We got it as apart of the pick swap for Pick 25.

I think his point is that according to all reports, we also traded out our future fourth rounder to Hawthorn for Gunston so we don't actually have one anymore.

Very interesting point Grasshopper17 raises.

If you hold two (or more) future third round picks, you can trade out your future fourth round pick.

I’m 99% certain this is accurate.
Because...? :)

It's not something I've seen claimed anywhere else hence a healthy dose of scepticism until it's shown to not just be a theory.
