What are his issues? anything other than a little immature?

I'm not expert, I'm only going on what I've been told. Which is Jolly and Port are talking, allegedly, Jolly was mucking around too much with a specific player, to be unnamed.

Too me it sounds the same, immature being lead astray.

What happened to the Freeo boy last year who was delisted we were considering?

Without giving names, are you suggesting Jolly was leading another youngster astray, or that another (senior) player was leading him astray. Because a senior player has also been released.

Stribling? Has had a good season for South - worth considering as a rookie, but there might be better out there.

He was being led astray by another player

I reckon it would be hard for any player to voluntarily leave the playing group now (Chappy, Pearce etc). Can't help but think anyone who had decided to leave might just have a re-think.

From the same perspective, will be tougher than ever to delist the players now. Really feel for the blokes who have to go through this and are then shown the door.

Such a cruel world in so many ways.

Yes that is going to be the major spanner in the works now.

I wonder if this tragedy will make the club re-think a delisting of a player. Maybe a Banner or Hitchcock may get a 1 year contract?

Makes me wonder if 'good blokes' like Logan will be more likely to be offered another contract. The need for 'good blokes' has certainly just gone up.

You will be surprised a few days it settles down....we are talking about a multi million dollar business where you make bad calls lives are ruined ...by monday everyone will be focused on what is going on in their lives and we move on..not much changes and thats life

its certainly not unheard of that a 19yr old kid living away from home isnt fully grasping the enormity of his opportunity and the relevance of commitment yet.

wouldnt help being sent to the gc with 40 other kids either.

let him spend a day with one of the seniors show him how hard they work on the track, them send him back to their shiny big house in their shiny new car. the next day send him down to work with scrappy sanfl player who is balancing a job and training. let him decide what life he wants to leave. hell , if we really want to scare him send him to my work for a day, he'll shit himself.

Some under 18 footage of Jolly. Moves and kicks a bit like Matthew Liptak, for me. Don't see too much leg speed there or "tricks". I'd rather we keep Banner.

I like him. Seems composed, has a penetrating leg and can find the ball

Wouldnt be any worse than Jacobs

(edit: don't shoot the messanger)

Jarred Moore is being considered for a move to Alberton, not sure wheter it was Free Agency or via a trade, however with a new regime coming in, not entirely confident the move will be made, but thought it would be worth letting you guys know.

Its a good sign when I literally have to google a name to know who a player is.

3 Games (8 Disposal Average and .33 Goal Average) for a forward in 2 Years?

Rohde is a genius.

But seriously, I have serious doubts anything will come from that. We are talking to a lot of players.

He's a little nugget with some grunt thats for sure. Played a very good game against us here a few seasons ago.......ahhh, thats why...the Brent Renouf rule of Port Adelaide trading.

All jokes aside, could be worth a shot ?

I agree, just passing on the info The Smaller Warrior

I have heard from someone that it is not just hearsay and that Angus is being seriously considered as a FA.

Moore had one or two decent years but nah, no, I really hope not.

Remember Moore and Buchanan (and Bird for that matter) doing well against us, but I think it's more to do with Sydney's complete domination over us for so long, rather than the individuals concerned. Buchanan looked terrific to me, when he was playing for the Swans but went on to do precious little with the Lions.

Monfries reminds me alot of Ebert - sort of player we should be trying to steer clear of. Not as good overhead perhaps, but a bit more noticeable defensively.

Completely agree with how ludicrous it would be if we offered Monfries a more attractive contract than Pearce. Both the same age, one is far better than the other and we already have that guy.

Moore is pretty much in the "McQualter/Daniel Harris/Brogan/MacDonald" player/coach role at Sydney at the moment. From reading the Swans reserves thread, they speak pretty highly of him as a person and his influence on the young group, however it's widely accepted that his time at AFL has passed.

Wouldn't mind if we gave him a shot as an assistant coach and if we had a reserves side he would be the perfect kind of bloke to send out an approach to captain/coach it. Would be disappointed if we actually put him on our AFL list, but with a strong knowledge of the way a very strong football club does things, would welcome him with open arms if he wanted an assistant/development role.
