hahhah, apparently port, GWS and the dogs have also made inquiries
The worst part is i can pretty much guarantee that if he goes to another AFL club he'll flourish, seems to be par for the course with us.

Yeah you must still be hurting about Jay Nash

I dont actually mind us enquiring about Reimers type of player, just preferably not Reimers. A very quick, goal kicking flanker is exactly what we need.

Safe: After Kevin Sheedy re-signed yesterday the Giants announced they would reveal new deals for a "secret seven" players this week. GWS also has another mini-draft in which it is likely to trade top-rated WA 17-year-olds Jack Martin and Jesse Hogan. Gold Coast is expected to swap pick two in the draft for Martin while Hogan has been linked to Melbourne in a deal that could involve pick three - handing the Giants the top three picks in November.

If this happens then GWS holds the top 3 picks and Melbourne uses other pick on Viney.
ie
1. GWS
2. GWS (Gold Coast Martin)
3. GWS (Melbourne Hogan)
4. Melbourne (Viney)
5. WB
6. WB
7. PAFC

GWS could do us a Wingard like favour this year and let Toumpas through

But the Bulldogs stand in the way, not once but twice lol

What a farce.

If there is, I'll cry.

We'll give you a traffic cone for Reimers, but only on the condition that the AFL lets us have an extra spot on our list to accommodate such an average player with such a shit attitude.

I wouldn't even want Port to take Reimers with the last pick in the rookie draft.

Im only looking at stats and have not noticed his game...but reads ok for small forward in a crap side...they are always going to be inconsistant and look average aren't they? are there off field issues? he kicks straight and is not likely to cost anything much?

Toumpas seems like a WB type as well :(

Maybe injuries will frighten them off?

Maybe pick 7 would be ok...hasn't that been a lucky pick in the past?

Rich, Palmer, Ryder, Selwood, Lewis, Caddy, Mackie, Hale.....Larence Angwin

When you get older and a bit wiser you'll realize you can't make calls like this. Maybe he'll be the next Josh Willoughby

Have you seen Kennedy play?

At the end of his career, he will have more accolades than Gray.

height alone again? far out i should jump on the stereotypical thoughts about drafting bandwagon it would be easier

PS Kennedy is at least 179cm now

Let it go Jonts, you're wrong. Feel free to bookmark it.

If Kennedy has grown 6-7cm this year then hes well worth a look. If hes still 174cm then I just dont think so. It might seem petty, but a 174cm player unless hes a once a generation type like Crawford or Harvey just isnt a huge success at AFL level.

I'm pretty sure that Melbourne can't use pick 4 for Viney because it's a compensation pick.

And am I the only one who thinks that we should pick the best available? Forget what position they play in or what state they're from. Would be very happy with Wines or Grundy.

Use later picks, rookie and preseason draft to fill needs.

Measure out 7cms on a ruler. It is pretty insignificant

No it isn't at all

Height affects reach and weight.

Sandilands is only 7cm or so taller than some other ruckmen but he towers over them in size and strength and has far greater reach.

For ruckman it would be more of an issue. For midfielders it's not that big a deal as long as their strength is up. Mitchell, chapman and banner are all sub 180 players

Would still rather Mayes though. I think Kennedy will have the bigger
immediate impact though

Agree, but theres a reason why theres very little 190cm KPP anymore, and very little sub 175cm players in the league. Count how many sub 175cm players you'd be happy to use a top 10 pick on currently in the league

I think it's more to do with the shorter players tend to be slower and weaker. Speed will definitely not be an issue with kennedy
