The draft ain't here yet and Mayes seems a little speculative. I just don't see him becoming more than a Half Forward.

Toumpas, Whitfield, Viney, Stringer, Garlett and Vlastuin, any of these lads would be great with our first selection.

McDonough, Wines, Atkins, Kennedy or Menzell, seccond round.

Mayes, Colquhoun, Barry, Amarto or Irra, in the third.

James Stewart or Marvin Warrell in the fourth.

Scott Gumbleton in the fifth.

vlastuin has racked up something like 12-16ish possesions through the entire champs. has been mentioned that has mostly played off a hbf though. knowing that he isnt really fast, not a great kick ( been mentioned as a decent to good kick though) then ild want to know he is a big time accumulator. hasnt screamed pick me in these champs. oliver wines seems to have overtaken him.

speaking of wines i like the sound of him. pure mid, like we need. inside tough workhorse who can work to space and use the ball pretty well is the description floating around.

stringer hasnt fired a shot these champs. racked up such delights as 3 and 4 disposal games. woah. super talent but a broken leg will take time. unless he shows something dramatic at the end of the year avoid. to much risk for us.

gartlett is a gun. fast and uses his long kicking every chance he gets. gets a tonne of ball too. outside midfielder. dropped from ais and had another issue as well i forget. were minor issues i think.

whitfield nor viney will not be available for us.

mayes will not be around in the 3rd. over the years has been a multiple goalkicker, and is a great kick. does that sound like skills clubs might like in todays game? his question marks are over whether he will always be a 12-18 possesion hff or can he become a ball-winner.

i doubt we will see colquhoun if we pass at our 2nd pick. im a fan of mcdonough but 2nd round is too early for such a speculative pick. 3rd round onwards.

I really like Garlett played very well in a struggling side

And wouldn't mind colqhoun with our 2nd pick if hes available great user of the ball and great rebounder which is what we need

Would be interested in Scott Gumbleton. I think.his time at Essendon will be near complete and with the emergence of Hurley and Crameri, Carslile, Pears, Meyers etc. is possibly surplus to their needs, if delisted probably a fourth or fifth round selection in the draft. Has had a horrid run with injuries but Schulz had a terrible run at Richmond and looked an absolute hack. We could do far worse.
Really... you guys want Gumby... what about Westhoff, Butcher etc... doubt PA is a good fit for Gumby. Would be a WA club or stay with us Id imagine...
We will give you Monfries, Gumby and a pick for Boak.... ;)

Westhoff is useless, we need KPP, Gumbelton if he can stay fit is a great age to see the end of Schulz's career and be a good foil when Butch hits his straps. Gumbelton is the lead up CHF and Butcher is a Full Forward. I would be very interested in Gumby

Tell you what,

My mate Josh Trembath could be recruited as a mature. Gun. (I have been calling for him to be recruited for a few years now)

58 Goals in Reserves last year,

24 from 12 Games in League this year.

If we were to take a 'mature' player from Glenelg I would hope Andrew Bradley would get a look. Consistently in the top few possessions and is a clearance machine.

Sorry TSW, your mate is exactly what we don't need. A two goal average in the SANFL isn't that impressive anyway.

Yes and no. Its looking likely that the Ken Farmer Medallist this year might end up with the lowest total goals in 70 years. McIntyre leading it after 4 decent games says it all. So i dont think this year 2 goals a game is that bad. Hes only 6 behind the leader.

dunstan is available in the mini-draft.

matty crouch was one of the best and most consistant through the champs though and ild imagine miles ahead of dunstan in any considerations.

Haven't seen crouch.

But watching the replay of the wa v sa game. Dunstan seemed a bit Judd like. It was his first game of the carnival as well

I don't think Dunstan has the explosiveness from the contest that Judd had. If I had to make a comparison I'd go with Hodge. Not particularly quick but just seems to keep getting to contests, hard inside and a good decision maker. Many a time I've watched Dunstan kick the ball only to see him get the ball back from the contest down field. Gut runner.

That is the kind of hip injury that may see some clubs not risk, and then knowing our luck will slip down to crows and then will be fine.

He would have to get past Port and we love injured players, ask anyone. ;)
