Delisting Jarman and Dear are a no brainer but Edwards is a massive surprise. Then again when you're a club with a shithouse culture things like father/sons aren't import. Thankfully Diamond Dave mackay will be retained.

Why? They know the nature of the game. I doubt this comes as a shock to them, as Jackson would have been receiving regular feedback throughout the season. He would have been told exactly where he stood, long before today's announcement.

It's also maybe an indication that we are looking to package some picks - and only use a couple of really low ones. If we aren't clearing house in the search for spots ... maybe we aren't planning on drafting that many newbies in?

Wonder if Craig Kelly is still pissed off about the Pies not taking Jake as a father/son because I saw his brother Will play on the weekend and he's going to be a serious player when he fills out, tall, mobile, great overhead, quick for a tall lad and a really good kick, played well down back in the first half then dominated when shifted forward in the second half. Looks one of the better KPP's in this draft. Won't be at all surprised if we put in a bid on him to keep the Pies honest.

I really don't think it makes any difference to our chances of signing Luke as an F/S.

The careers of Otten, Cheney, Sig, Wilson, Hunter and co will hinge on who we bring in/how many live picks we plan on taking.

I listed him as a player who won't have his future decided until after trade week ends, because it's factually accurate: the club announced no further list changes until then, and Murphy is yet to be offered a new senior or rookie contract. I would agree. Edwards is very surprising seeing he's a first year player unless he really didn't show anything that indicates he can make it/attitude issues or something of that ilk.

Jarman and Dear were just about guaranteed. Neither had any future whatsoever.

I would say 11 games in his first year on the list has Murphy being completely safe and not only that, a guarantee to be upgraded to the main list. The rest I agree on, their future hinges on the trade weeks and what happens in September with draftees (seeing finals can create one or two smokies).
