Delist:
Tuck - Retired
Derickx

Trade:
Foley & Batchelor to GWS for Adams & pick 19
Nahas to Dogs for 3rd round pick

Free Agency:
McGuane to Lions
White to Port

Draft Picks based of Knightmares Phantom
11, 19, 28, 38, 46, 47(Compo from White or McGuane)

11 - Christian Salem 183cm 82kg Midfielder from Sandringham
19 - Luke Dunstan 185cm 83kg Midfielder/Forward from Woodville/West Torrens
28 - Nicholas Robertson 188cm 83kg Utility from West Perth
38 - Darcy Cameron 203cm 98kg Ruckman/KPF from Claremont
46 - Jarman Impey 176cm 78kg Small Forward from Murray Bushrangers
47 - Alex Spencer 193cm 83kg KPD from Sandringham

If we were to land those 6 kids in the draft it would address all the areas that we need to IMO, those areas being midfield depth, rebounding defender, developing ruckman, a small forward and another KPD.
If that were to happen, we could be charged with bringing the game into disrepute :P

I could see GWS arguing that Adams would be rated the same or a bit higher than Foley, and pick 19 for Batchelor would be silly on their part.

Sign one of the Americans?
Potential Irish players don't appeal to me anymore after what happened to the last 2 we had.

Derickx and Nahas Gone
Verrier, gone from rookie list, possibly re-rookie if theres no better options, lonergan might have bought himself another year with recent form.
Tuck and Orren possible retirees

Wouldn't be suprised to see minimal changes, Griff, O'Hanlon and Helbig all stay

I believe we should delist Sam Lonergon because there are better options like youngsters in the draft who don't get picked up in the national draft such as Cayden Williams who we picked up this year who could potentially become a star.

I would trade Helbig to Back to South Australia, his home state to Adelaide in a deal for Jarryd Lyons if we were unable to secure Taylor Adams because Lyons clearances work was pretty impressive this year and Helbig may have the go home factor later on to try ignight his career further than it is progressing at the tiges and i was very impressed by lyons four goal and 17 possesion effort against collingwood late in the year.

I've noticed the D-Rex has been named in the bests over the last few weeks for the 'burgers - I believe this is a result of him playing more time as the main ruck? Interesting to see if the powers that be see anything in him, or at least enough to keep him on as a rookie?

Lonergan too has hit form at the pointy end of the season. If he's happy to remain a rookie, I'd keep him around.

You'd think Nahas has had his papers stamped. Griff, Helbig, Dea, Batch and Arnott are the interesting ones for mine. Have all showed glimpses over their brief forays into the firsts, without really stamping their mark on a position... Some tough discussions to be made!

Ben Griffths will sign a one year deal basically done and dusted that one and Arnot was only in his second season this year, will cement his spot next year in his third year.

Cam anyone tell me what Matt White is like?
Skills, any positives and neg?
Thanks

Elite speed probably a liitle bit slower than Rioli same as danger, He can not kick on his opposite foot what so ever and then the rest of his game is pretty well rounded.

He's okay. Good in a good team. Was generally as good as useless for Richmond over his career as we've been shit for a loooong time. But pacy, big engine, tries hard and commits to tackles but he's not big and he lacks a good football brain, so he doesn't see as much of it as he should.

When we played our best football this year White was a big part of it. Right type of player at the right time, though I could be selling him short.

What I'd like to see:

Out: Tuck, McGuane, Derickx, Nahas, Stephenson, Lonergan
In: Adams, Chappy, another cheap ruck (Jolly?), Pick 29, Pick 47, a rookie (maybe rookie Matt Thomas, he's an upgrade on Lonergan)

-Adams will be a big improvement on Tuck, who played only 11 games and 3-4 as the sub.
-Chappy is much better than McGuane, A.Edwards can play that 3rd marking role.
-Jolly would be handy, we'll still need another ruck on the list though if Stephenson goes.
-Pick 29 should be an improvement on Nahas.
-Anything is an upgrade on Lonergan.

I think nahas might have some trade value, derickx prob should go (bit of a shame he couldn't become the damaging big we need), I liked th footage I saw of helbig as a junior (reminded me a little of Luke hodge th way he kicked th ball) and I'm not sure but I reckon McBean has more upside than elton. The likes of lonergan and Stephenson will be handy to keep around to tutor our young group in th vfl.. I might b wrong but aren't we going it alone in vfl next year.

What I'd like to see:

Out: Stephenson

-Pick 29 should be an improvement on Nahas.

Not sure if you're assuming Stephenson won't go around again next year, but I for one hope he does. I reckon he'd be a better back up than Jolly, only because I have more confidence that if Maric gets injured/tired Stephenson will be ready to go. Jolly's body is shot, and not sure that makes him a good contingency.

Re: pick 29, interesting reading KM's Phantom draft and he pretty much is of the belief that outside the top 20 picks, he has little faith that there are any clear AFL quality players left. Much more speculative, so no guarantees that 29 (or later) is going to be an upgrade on Nahas. Sad, really, isn't it!

Depends. If he leaves: can't kick, soft as butter, brain fades galore, costs goals regularly. Etc etc :p

Imo unless we can get a Lycett or Longer I wouldn't be after a similar ruck that's like Maric ie Jolly. If we delist Big Tom, and don't get either Lycett/Longer then I would look to the draft but as I understand its pretty slim on rucks so I would maybe hope to keep Stephenson and then draft a state leaguer ruck on the rookie list, which gives us the scope to pick up Lycett when he comes out of contract next year. It also gives us scope to draft extras in areas we need.

So I'd do this.

Delist- Dericxs, Mcguane( or let him leave), Nahas( same as macca) with Tuck retired. 1 of Dea,Batchelor or Helbig is up for the chop. I would also delist rookie Verrier and keep Petterd on this list.

This leaves 5 players on the main list with 1 rookie to replace(not against 1 of the trio put on this list) which gives us scope to gain Adams, plus 3 picks in the ND and then the scope to either have a pick in the PSD, grab another player from somewhere( Longer/Lycett) or even upgrade Petterd and then have another rookie selection.
