Since the Dusty story has broke since I last posted in this thread I thought I'd update what I would like to see happen from this off season:

Trade Table:
Martin to Melbourne for picks 2 & 20
Pick 12 to GWS for Adams & 19
Griffiths to lions for pick 25
Pick 29 to WCE for Lycett
Nahas to Dogs for pick 38

Sorry RT but none of those deals are possible.

You would need:

Martin and Foley for picks 2 & 20.
Pick 12 for Adams.
Griffiths and 46 to Brisbane for pick 25.
Pick 25 for Lycett.
Nahas and 64 for Pick 56.

Foley was probably supposed to be in the Adams one I presumed seems people have been discussing it.

Really cant see Melbourne parting ways with two top 20 picks for one player who on talent is worth it but attitude and discipline isn't. Too big of a risk for a club like Melbourne.

We'd have to throw a fringe player in or something but not Foley.

Personally see Foley as a fringe player these days and the only one with value from past achievements. As long as we don't force him out the door then I don't see a problem.

I'd use 38 in the draft RT. It's a good pick that teams don't use to upgrade rookies with IMO.

I know what you're getting at but was going on your last pick has to be for a rookie upgrade if you're doing one. So unless we convince Petterd to stay on the rookie list I can see him being upgraded. May mean that someone else like A.Edwards or one of Elton/O'Hanlon/Arnot doesn't get re-signed.

Won't need Foley for the Martin deal IMO, if Dees want him they will pay up for him. May have to throw in a fringe player to get 19 from GWS, but I'd like us to start off at pick 12 for Adams and 19. Given we won't use 46 happy to throw it to Brisbane to get 25 for Griffiths. As with the GWS deal I'd love to take a crack at getting Lycett for 29 if possible but if it comes to it I'd go 25 to get a ruckman that we need for the future. Nahas deal was to free up space as no doubt he'll be delisted if he doesn't get a trade. If it ended up the deal you suggest even better as we'd use that pick to upgrade Petterd rather than a top 40 pick.

What's shane edwards worth? He was really disappointing this season and with the emergence of matty white and mcdonough (and when knights is back) i can't see him getting many games next season.

much as I like the big guy. He really hasn't shown me enough to hang my hat on so I'm with you theflea. If he has currency trade this year.(that was hard to say) If that's the way the club goes hope we get good value trade or player.

I'm hearing rumbles too. Not just the Wobblers either. Looks like his season has created some interest, just hope like hell the Tigers can sign someone soon. This is nuts.

I've heard that Port Adelaide have come knocking with a nice 2 - 3 year deal for White. I think we need to cut our losses quite soon with Martin/Conca because we still have a few pieces to sign

I know, gutted when I heard the news too. He absolutely bleeds for the club which has got me pissed right off, let's hope that the club do the right thing by our players once all this drama has died down a bit.
