losing a player even before GC come knocking is going to hurt. Although she wasn't that prominent this year.

Pretty crazy about Sabrina. I was quite confident she'd be leaving... for West Coast! Good start by Richmond, if that is indeed where she ends up.

Doesn't really matter to Brisbane where she goes if it's as a free agent to an expansion team, and even if it was in their control they wouldn't necessarily be better off trading her (it would have to be for like a Sarah D'Arcy, otherwise they'd just be losing 9 players with unsatisfying compo rather than 8).

In a more familiar over-saturated media landscape, speculation would've been building since last year and gone off the charts this season, with a dip in form supposedly validating wantaway rumours. Same kind of scuttlebutt would be rife about a possible Dal Pos homecoming etc etc... "IF Emily Bates and Emma Zielke are taking on lesser leadership roles at the Lions for 2019, THEN don't be surprised to hear about them purchasing beachfront property in Surfers Paradise blegghghjh"

Not sure about Jess, but her old man is a big Tigers fan...
Spicy.

I grew up playing AFL in Victoria with my brother, sister and school friends. We would play every day at lunch time and meet up after school for footy training at our local club. For me, footy was a completely normal activity for an Australian kid. However, it did puzzle me that every time I told my Nonno and Nonna about it I would constantly have to explain the rules and that I barracked for Richmond Tigers.
