It's definitely not everything.

When there was talk of getting Young from the doggies last year, so many on here against it, look at the results now.

Brodie at the Suns another, on the outer, Goes to a new club, the results speak for themselves.

If you were the list manager, who would you move on and why, what type of player, as in characteristics, would you look to acquire through the draft/trade and why

Anyone else think we should have another crack at Ollie wines this off-season? I honestly think would be a great fit for our midfield and would love playing under vossy. We might be able to get another Brownlow year out of him..

If we offloaded Dow and considered offloading Kennedy and setterfield we might be able to gain a little bit of currency also?

Ollie is contracted to the end of 2026. Last time he was a bit out of love with Port having lost the captaincy and copped flack about his water skiing accident.

He's back in love with Port and has since won a brownlow. He's very loyal and going nowhere. Back to the drawing board I think.

Maybe. Hard to say what is or is not 'value' without knowing what is heading in the opposite direction.

At 22 and 23 years of age, perhaps they will turn it around at a new club in their home state. It's not an uncommon occurrence.

We overrate our own players currency as fans. 2 firsts for TDK who was an early 2nd pick who has had a couple of highlights and no real breakout game is a good deal.

But then so would have been Brayshaw and Cerra for Cripps 2 years ago. No Carlton supporter would have considered that at the time.

I would only let him go for 2 first with his potential upside.

Zero interest in McAsey if we intend on keeping one or both of McDonald and Durdin. Exactly the same type of player, just a bit more versatile and younger. We should be cultivating some elite talent and tactical variety.

Is this a sweetener so Adelaide get a better pick in any deal for Sholl? In a sepearate trade, he has the same valuation as Young did.

Keep McDonald and see him more as a backup forward? We don't really have any backup for Curnow or McKay on our list.

McDonald has had various back issues across something like 4 seasons, and you want to keep him? He's done.

Durdin gets a maybe, but I'd rather we just start acquiring and drafting. From an athletic standpoint, there should be much better options out there in the DFA market and towards the back of the draft, plenty of them with football ability to work with.

Young was a monster at VFL level though. Had games where he got 20+ marks. Also had good AFL games though he was moved around alot. Brodie was also a gun at VFL level. McAsey has been terrible in the reserves.

He'll cost bugger all and has shown at SANFL level he can be an adequate swingman...
It's a shrewd hit or miss target...

He's gone through some difficult times for a young lad in Adelaide,
injuries, he's dad having a medical issue whilst he was stuck in Adelaide due to covid lockdowns, probable home sickness and a coach who won't play him...

Personally, if healthy, keep Omac and Durdin and draft the likes of Hayes or Hustwaite with our first pick. There will be suitable outside types later in the draft

Oliver Hollands looks like a good fit for Carlton who is likely to be drafted mid to late first round.

Just quietly our whole list management decisions change if we are confident that Marchbank and McGovern are over their injuries. That might be the biggest decision that we have to make.
