Do we think the news of Geelong sniffing around Matt Rowell may suggest Butters is a bit less gettable than they think? Man I hope so.
Butters has Vic interest with serious coin - like top 10 player stuff. I don't know about Rowell but I'd assume his offers would be good but not massive dollars. Might be Geelong are being a bit more economical in their approach.

Rowell is serious dollars from us as a Wines replacement if he likes. If he’s not getting massive offers elsewhere we go massive.

Lions into Oscar Allen as free agent, still only 25, would be handy with Marshalls future dodgy.

Would be surprised if he left West Coast, but I guess everyone has a price. Great forward, but he's had a few injury problems, hasn't he?

Everyone would be interested in Allen.

Unsure if he would be keen to leave his hometown, but from a career perspective it has its merits.

he’s going to spend his prime years at a rebuilding club, would you want to hope that they come good in the last 2-4 years of your career? Fair risk if you’re interested in success. While it’s not guaranteed anywhere else , you at least aren’t waiting.

I’ve always got the maximise career over team success vibes from Allen.

If WC offer him $1.(something) million a season, I can see him staying at home, earning stupid money in a rebuilding team.

The Lions have rightfully understood they are diabolically desperate for a number uno big key forward to continue their success and keep open that window for as long as they can.

With Aliir not getting younger, BZT, and big question marks around Rat, I’d love us to look at Leek Aleer. Alternatively, there seems to be big wraps on Keeler.
Have a good feeling that Port will get Leek Aleer at season end tbh. Depending on how he performs but as I've said before, I believed he's pretty close with Aliir and from SA too. Good replacement for Aliir.

I'm pretty confidence in saying there's a strong feeling of Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera being picked up at the end of the season too and a weird feeling especially after the indigenous game that Bobby Hill may ask for trade to Port at the end of this season too. Don't know why but have a strange feeling that may happen. Even though he's from WA.

That's a lot of currency we don't have

Would be fine with out going players though. Pretty sure that if Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera comes it would be Bergman out. Boaky retiring. Ratkins may not be resigned as it's only this year or a deal on less may be offered. Also pretty certain Soldo will be gone too. That's a fair decent increase in salary which i dare say a lot will cover Butters new deal.

Port will no doubt draft a ruck this season too to cover Soldo as it will be Sweet and Visentini, no need for Soldo tbh.

will be an interesting trade period. Especially if there's moving parts with coaches for when Carr takes over.

Wonder if Ebert will come back to be assistant coach under Carr?

I’ve heard whispers on NWM as well.

I'm just going to take it on face value but Aleer, Wanganeen-Milera and Bobby Hill would be one of the greatest off seasons for us for quite a while.

It will be super interesting to see where we are at by the end of this season with Hinkley gone and then what Carr can bring to the club. I have a feeling that next off season is going to be pandemonium and just balls to the wall crazy with list changes.

6 first round draft picks + $2.5m salary a year. LOL.
