They would want Ben Reid plus our first round pick plus more.
I don't think that they would want much more. A young, proven premiership, AA CHB who attacks with precision kicking and can swing forward if necessary. Injury concerns may lower his value a bit, but if we had to offer a sweetener, it would be something small and we may end up getting a late pick as well.

I just don't know who would be more important to us going forward. Reid or Cameron? Moore sounds like he could develop into another Reid (play at both ends)

GWS will want a lot more than Reid. Gubby will ask for our first pick - which we most likely will need for Moore and someone like Goldsack at the very least. They will be offered a top 5 pick plus quality player(s) elsewhere. There is zero chance we could do the deal for Reid and a token top up. None whatsoever.

Given GWS's list, what is more important to them given they are likely to have a top 5 pick anyway? A proven CHB who steps in right now into there 22 to support Davis and co, or a second top 5-10 draft pick? Yes they lose Cameron, but they still have Patton, Boyd, Giles and Mcarthy up forward. They then add Reid to Davis and other tall backs giving time for them to develop. Top 8 a possibility in 2016, top 4 2017 onwards.

They may ask for a sweetener with Reid to help cover some depth, but it will not be as high as what some would suggest.

Why would they give up an AA Forward and rely on an unproven Patton and Boyd? plently of high key position draft picks have gone bust

are you advocating we get Darcy Moore this year than launch a campaign to get rid of father son? I suspect Ben Jarman would have his choice of Hawks & Crows as Darren played 100+ with each.
the age "Ben Jarman, the son of Darren, is available to both Hawthorn and the Crows and showed promise as a 15-year-old last year."

We should be targeting players from GWS & GC that aren't currently getting gigs and will soon be wanting to come home for more opportunity. Personally I don't study the 2 teams in depth but I would imagine they would struggle to hold all players on their list over the next 1-3 years. With all their concessions and high selections there should be some unearthed gems.

Someone else who will be an absolute gun is Christian Salem. Unlikely to go anywhere (except home to WA) but I would have Ed take him to dinner.

please remove langdon from that list. The rest I can live with.

You need to offer something of value and most of the others wouldn't attract to much attention IMO. I wouldn't want to see him go but it would all depend on what we got in return.
Yep. Of course you would let a langdon go for a dangerfield. My comment was just a light hearted remark. Not meant as criticism or anything like that.

The Ruckman would be the other area to consider. We haven't been very successful for a long time in developing good long term bigmen. ie. Fraser, Wood.
I think that Grundy & Witts have potential but we are 2-3 years from seeing the benefit. I would probably place one if not both on the short term untouchable list rather than bring in another Jolly.
