Hurleys been good as a backman though, id rather have a look at Jake Carlisle and tell him he would be a defender. Hes been linked to Melbourne on a facebook page i liked, take that as much as you want too.

I'd have a big sniff around Hurley presuming he is not too heavily implicated in the drug fiasco.

I'd sniff at Carlisle first.
If Fletcher goes around again, he will be the odd man out again.
They have played him out of position all year due to Fletcher.
Hird has stated that he will re-sign the old man if he is coaching next year.
Carlisle is the one we want.

I think we've said all the below before:

i) a midfield s#%t truck to replace the bulk of Swan (how the hell do we get Petracca? - I'm willing to trade)
ii) another KPF (hopefully Moore is the answer - v good perhaps as KPD as well) -- Another KPD would be good also
iii) a mid w silky skills (next year we give our first pick for Aish)
iv) a lighting quick goal kicking crumber
v) some line breaking runners (w polish!)

Ok - so not sure how it's possible to satisfy that list over 1-2 years.
(Trades / FA / development of Freeman + Shaz)??

BTW - when I started making this list I only had a couple points.
I'm normally glass half full but there are some needs that need addressing.

We would have to Get a Top 2-3 Pick to get Petracca. Would you trade a gun for that?

Moore could help up forward with Cloke as he would add another Target and he seems a Good Set Shot on Goal

Lions won’t Trade Aish. Agree we need Quick Mids who use the Ball Well.

Kennedy showed he could become a Gun Crumber

Frawley's disposal efficiency is 73.3 which is quite good, considering he has a higher than average disposal count for a key defender.

He is an extremely good one on one defender.

I'm actually quite shocked at the hate for him, he is a massive upgrade on both Frost and Keefe and even Nathan Brown.

If Karnezis can become a productive 3rd tall up forward and Jesse White steps up.

Would not mind seeing Frawley at full back and Reid and centre half back with Frost playing on the 3rd tall.

Didn't know who he was so googled him and was surprised he'd been on our VFL list in at least 2011. Seems he has been plagued by injury concerns in 2011, 2012 & 2013. Having been on our VFL list before might mean he's on our radar but may also count against him as we didn't see enough to keep him?

Furthermore on Frawley and why is is very underrated by some on this board.

In 2013 he conceded just 25 goals in 17 games, with his direct opponent kicking more than two goals just twice

We have the Cash, we had the cash to match Thomas's offer.

Lynch retiring frees up another $250-300K.

And i would def entertain Garlett. He can go missing but he is a genuine talent when on song. Could work well in our forward line.

He's a one on one beast who's numbers stack up against Matty Scarletts. Not to be sneezed at!

Something is NQR with Garlett. His best is scintillating, but like Carlton, he disappears. You have to wonder how he and MM are gtting along. He's been dropped to the 2's several times over the last two years. He should be way better than VFL. He'd be awesome if you could squeeze some consistency out of him.
