Hawthorn will retain Anderson and Duryea but I'm not so down on Elliott. He's improving and showed signs that he can push up the ground.

Blair won't get us a ruckman unless you want Cameron Wood back.

Melbourne might look into Blair but if you're moving him on you'll probably only get a 3rd round pick with sub 175cm mids not in demand or something clubs go into trade week seeking. 2nd round picks are what typically are required to acquire depth ruckmen who have been around for a number of years with the younger ruckmen requiring 1st rounders.

The other option if we were to trade Blair is you'd go after a high hurt factor back flanker/wingman. So perhaps a Siposs, Dalgleish, Jackson Allen or Lewis Stevenson is about the best return you can get for Blair, which I'd be ok with depending on how their development is coming along and whether they project as players who could be a part of our best team.

Not only does Scharenberg have the strength to be a 3rd tall it may even be his best role at AFL level.

He's played plenty of KPP in the u18s mostly as a key defender and has great strength and size for his age to go with guys but then also has a natural feel for when to leave his direct opponent for an intercept mark.

I reckon Sidebottom could get us two players. If we get two players that cover our specific needs like a speedster, a half-back, a small forward or even a ruckman. Sidebottom should be overtaken by the likes of Freeman, Kennedy, Broomhead and Fasolo so if we get a couple of players that fill out needs I'd be happy. Sidebottom is probably the player that holds the most trade value and a player we can cover for depth.

I'll watch with interest how Dom Tyson fairs at Melbourne. Was a gun junior going at pick 3 but never settled in Sydney.

O'Rourke could be the same. Most likely to cost a 1st rounder at least though.

Mark Williams called him the best school boy footballer he has seen since Carey, this was off his play in the fwd 50 Berg can play FWD and Back equally well. He also has shown he is capable in the mid though less time spent there but Hine and Buckley both see him as a future tall mid going off their draft interviews.

Disagree, He was 3rd in our best and fairest last year and in the best 3 over the St Kilda grand finals. You don't get rid of someone who is a proven finals performer

He is overrated by our club, and those grandfinals were a long time ago. Thomas Pendlebury and Didak would have been my best three anyways.
