Well If Frost wanted to go to Giants and O’Rourke want to go to Collingwood that would be close to a Trade. We might have to Throw in another Player or a 2nd Round Pick.

Agree - That at the Moment it’s just talk and not much more

You'd trade someone holding down a key position well for someone still needing development and not key position? If anything they'd need to sweeten not us in my opinion. If O'Rourke is that good why is he not getting a game in one of the bottom teams? Injury?

One has been dominating his key defensive post whilst the other can't get a game. Despite the draft positions I think it would be a straight swap. Load of nonsense though cos Frost isn't going anywhere.

How can you be 100% sure he won’t Leave?

I highly doubt he would but you can never be Certain

Frost not as highly rated as O'Rourke when they were drafted but what they've done since says to me that Frost should be rated higher now.

Pies, Cats, Hawks and others that can develop players should be able to get some value from GWS talent that aren't getting games.

Im not one of those supporters that goes 'Omg no way would we trade him hes going nowhere he loves us ect ect', but i struggle to see why he would move, or why GWS would need him. GWS have Mohr and Davis who when GWS start competing for top 8 will be considered as 2 of the best defenders in the game, they also have Jaksh, Corr and Sam Frost. They also have Cam McCarthy Nick Haynes and Lachie Plowman developing as 3rd tall defenders. Jack is also from Victoria, he was given a lifeline by Collingwood when everyone else passed on him, and to top it off he is a best 22 Fullback at the biggest club in australia, We need Jack Frost more than GWS do. Only reason he would go there is to play with Sam, judging from social media and articals he and sam are very close brothers, basically best friends. More chances of Sam Frost joining us in my opinion, only basing that from Sam being victorian, being Jacks brother and that there will be an opening for a 3rd tall defender spot next year with Maxy most likely retiring, Sam seems to be enjoying his time at GWS and is one of the favorites there it seems.

O'Rourke would be a great get, and its good to see him being linked to us, could be a Jared Polec situation. Ben Kennedy, O'Rourke could be in a 3 way trade with Port or Adelaide, i like Kenno though and i hope he stays.

We could also use a classy outside midfielder who can finish with goals..you know like sharrod wellingham.. the sad thing is we've lost players that were crucial to our 2010/2011 domination and we've replaced them with players like adams, broomhead, quinten lynch, ben kennedy who aren't even afl standard. Great way to dismantle a good football side

Frost is rated high by our coaches & most of our fans. In fact if he doesn't come up after hyper extending his knee early in the doggies game, we are screwed.
Why would we even remotely consider trading our best KPD? In just half a season he has passed both Keeffe & Brown & is our go to defender for the league's best forwards. O'Rourke hasn't done anything except have #2 draft pick allotted to him. That doesn't make you a gun. Frost is already a gun defender. Our best & will improve heaps with more experience. He is a keeper all day every day.

Reid is our best KPD defender by 8 million miles. Whether Frost has passed Brown is questionable. I'd say there are suited to different KPFs and as a trio reid Brown & Frost is how we should structure down back. Keffee's a backup at least at this point. If we could Frawley as a free agent then trading one of Brown or Frost for a quality player or early draft pick should be very much on the radar but the problem is we still only have 1 KP forward. Reid being used forward is the wrong answer IMO but as it stands we will need Frost and Brown because reid will be needed forward.

That would have helped on Sunday. It isn't enough to win us the flag or even IMO to see up finish top 4. Right now I'd rate us the 6th best side which is actually where we are placed and about where I thought we'd be. The trades have cost us short term IMO. Whether we get a flag from them is the test because the alternative was to chase the flag hard right now. Personally I always favour that option when the realistic chance is there - which it was.

He was a required player that chose to leave for more money. Had we retained him we would possibly end up losing a guy like Beams. We need Seedsman to step up to that standard.

Have they really cost us short term? Dawes has barely played, and reid is a far better forward IMO when he's fit. Shaw may have cost us slightly, but that isn't a position we are short on anymore with Young, Scharenberg, Seedsman, Williams, and even Fasolo all playing a similar position who will all get better and better except for Young. Thomas has been really average, we only bring him up now because beams and sidebottom didn't play so players like adams and thomas were shown up.

no way would Frost move from us where he is going to constantly get a game (he is in front of Keefe and Reid will play forward when fit) and in his home city, the only way this rumor is true is if they got the brothers the wrong way around and Sam wants to return to Vic and with Jack playing with Collingwood, it would be an obvious choice linking him with us.
