Id still happily bring out the pitch fork

Its a no from me.
I’d bring it out if it cost more than a 2nd, and/or we’re paying over 600k of his salary

He definitely fills a need, given what we’ve seen the past couple of weeks. But if we were to get him, it would need to be at a bargain deal

I don’t think it’ll happen, either way

Not the worst idea - at least it's in the relm of plausible. Question is what's the cost and how many games does his body have left. Could very likely be a lost cause.

The rumour is that the Bulldogs don't want to offer him a new contract. You'd have to think the cost wouldn't be massive. A couple of thirds?

Why?

Treloar would cost almost nothing. There's millions still to go in Oliver's deal.
He is 32 with dodgy calves , that says enough surely

Clarry has had his issues but this back end of the season shows he still has it
Get even fitter and happy days

I know for a fact that Adelaide were all in one Clarry last year. It was between us and Geelong, and he chose Geelong, before Melbourne put the breaks on it.

We have a hard one for him since he was drafted, so while I havent heard anything this year about our interest levels, I would assume we are still interested.

I don't care what anyone says, I would be offering JUH a lifeline at the Crows. Get him out of Victoria and into a good football club and culture, and he would be an amazing long term replacement for Tex. He would also be lucky to cost you a third rounder at best.
You just dont get those types of opportunities very often.
I would also offer North a second rounder for Duursma while we were at it.

juh needs to go to sydney or the gold coast. based on all the news we have heard from him this year. he would be a disaster in our fish bowl environment.

Yeah no drugs in Adelaide, he should be fine

You dont pick up a half baked pie off the street just because its free
Lucky JUH isn't a half baked pie. He was pick 1 in the draft and has already kicked 43 goals in a seaon, and averages 1.54 goals a game in his first four season.
He also has a pretty wicked highlights reel.

If cost us a third rounder pick, and we get The Bulldogs to pay half his salery, the potential pay-off is massive.
What's the worse case? He gets delisted in two years?

Treloar could be interesting. We may be able to get his body right, and the Bulldogs clearly can't. It wouldn't cost that much to find out.
Treloar could come relatively cheap in terms of trade capital, and salary. I'd suggest he has made plenty of coin, and will move to the club he thinks he can play in a flag with. He is at risk of doing a Taylor Adams (not that Syd won it) if he goes to Brisbane with their strong midfield. He'd come in and hold down a starting mid spot in our side. It might backfire for us (injury), but it might be a good moneyball acquisition.

He is a destabilizing person

He can't even sort himself out this year

Let him play country Vic and then let's revisit it

Destabilising? He hasn't been at the club to destabilise anything, and in his fours years prior to this didnt have any issues.

Do you know why he isnt at the club? Has nothing to do with bad behaviour or issues within the team, he is under an AFL mental health management plan due to depression. He has been admitted to a mental health facility, has had issues with suicidal thoughts, and to the point he didnt trust himself to even drive his car.

Let's not try to marginalise people with mental health issues.
