How much of the has been skewed by WCE being a dumpster fire last few years?
If comes cheap enough sure I'd give him a crack

dont you have to be in the bottom % of paid players which can also put you on the list. I dont think trading makes a difference. I swear we have had traded players on the FA list before. If Carlton really front ended his contract then this would make sense. I am not an expert though.

The requirement to be on the same team's list for 8 years has long since gone. Now players just need to be on an AFL list (could be multiple lists, multiple teams) for 8 years - or be on an AFL list and get delisted.
 
I realise we don't have any list spots currently but two that would interest me in bolded red Ruckman Flynn Penry and Big bodied mid/utility Archie Caldow both of whom I've seen plent of.

Forgot to mention endurance beast Archie Caldow has grown another 4cm since last year, the lad just keeps growing. 189cm at last season's measuring after sprouting similar the previous year.

Not sure Bailey speak is coming from. Not out of contract until end of 2026, we probably wont have the salary cap to go the overs to really pursue a FA by the time that comes around. This is really our last year to throw money out there for a player, NWM is probably most likely.

Given he’s had groin issues previously , you wonder why he tried to push through. If it ends his career, he’s only got himself to blame. That said, I expect we’ll give him at least 1 extra year. We’re in a holding onto depth phase. List turnover will be the barest of minimums.

I guess it’s now or never , we might need to make the call but not sure we will

Will be hard to come back from this at his age but he has got determination as he’s shown previously
