Can the Crows finally get Tom Powell back home at the end of the year? He’s got some quality and hasn’t even been allowed to fully flourish at North, showed some of his quality again today. Has also cleaned up his disposal a fair bit in the last 12 months and is still an absolute ball magnet even when paying a periphery role…

Mentioned back last year if they wanted midfield talent especially after missing out on NWM to get him back, really should’ve gone hard and got him at the end of last year with him consistently stuck behind others in North’s midfield.

Have mentioned before the family ties to some influential people at the Crows and should be one of the main targets to trade in at the end of the year, just hope he doesn’t breakout too much so the cost blows out.
If you had to pick between Ryley Sanders and him, which one would you pick?

Sanders slightly more higher impact per disposal at this stage but Powell far superior when it comes to being a more rounded player at this stage; good score involvements + good repeat efforts/continually providing an option

Would’ve thought though convincing Powell to come back to SA rather than a Tasmanian that knows holding out on moving will lead to a far bigger inflated contract offer once Tassie arrives would’ve been a smarter list management strategy, but someone at the Crows seems to have had a bit of an obsession with Sanders instead.

Sanders on potential

'Mid-season trading of picks

A mechanism for the trading of mid-season draft selections will be established in mid-2026 (following the 2025 National Draft) with the following key features:

The draft selection trade period will open 30 minutes prior to the Mid-Season Rookie Draft (MSRD).

The trading of both MSRD selections and the National Draft selections will be permitted.

Future National Draft selections may be traded, subject future selection trading rules.

Live draft night trades must include MSRD selections.

MSRD selections may only be traded if a club has a selection in the MSRD.'

That last bit, by leaving a spot open, we now can trade our MSRD pick if someone wants it. We would not have been able to do that if we signed Bell or Foot (unless there were LT injuries).

Confirmed we opted to not sign either Foot or Bell.
MSD it is.
Bell wasn't eligible for the SSP because he didn't nominate for last year's AFL draft apparently.

Only problem now if we really want him in the MSD it will be up to other clubs to pass him over if they pick before us although he can put his terms up regards length and salary.

There might be a few that happen to perform above expectation in the state leagues too.

Quite a few of the tall guys that got passed over in last year's draft are returning to the Victorian U18's comp to

One we should be monitoring closely is athletic high leaping ruckman Marcus Krasnadamskis a 2.89 20m which is seriously quick and an 88cm running vertical jump with great upside given he only came into the U18's mid season in 2025 after concentrating on basketball previously. Skills are unbelievable for someone with so little experience. Guarantee he'll be on an AFL list sooner than later.

Keane and Murray aren’t necessarily old themselves. Borlase is fine as depth
I agree he's fine, but why not try to improve ?? Murray (and Butts for that matter) have recent injury history too.

I dont think you can necessarily read too much into us having Bell as a SANFL player.
