Remember if the club employed Graeme Cornes for 5 more games we would have had a free swing at Chad and Kane

Despite their off field both would have helped us to 2 flags in that 2009-2012 era

Playing him in a game that most if not all of us think we'll lose isnt the issue you think it is.

The logic was to keep improving the floor of the team as well as targeting topliners. Who would you rather in the side for example..murphy and mchenry or ANB and AhChee?

They bring training and in match leadership. Setting standards, improving training intensity and developing the younger players like Rachele, Curtin, and co

How we getting anything close to the draft haul Gold Coast gave them? Meanwhile we gave up zero draft collateral for ANB and Ah Chee.

Technically it wasn’t, that was the year prior. It was whoever else we could have got in the draft with that pick. 25 was probably at the high end for his age and type, but he was contracted and he’s returning as much as we could have hoped. Had a shocker Thursday night, but has otherwise been fine.

I think we did the right thing getting these guys, but as always, cost does come into consideration as to how good they’ve been for us. Cumming has been extremely disappointing, Ah Chee cruelled so far, Nibbler good and Peatling a bit up and down. But we’re definitely a better 23 with them in it.

Paying little overs to attract players only becomes a problem if we the lose players we then can't afford.

Given we had a younger list & been front loading most of our young talent, I don’t belive this is an issue.

Sure we would always like more A grade players, but important to improve the list with non A graders too.
