Cooney has kids and can earn hundreds of thousands of dollars next year playing footy. He will not retire.

Agree - I'd be staggered if Cooney retired unless he is totally incapable of getting on the park. He'll be somewhere else in my view: Essendon might need players; or he could join the bogan at Hawthorn.

There is a bit of talk at Arden Street about the CoonDog isn't there.
He makes a tonne of sense for them to be honest. Scott needs to win games next season. They won't be losing a free agent, so signing one is a free hit. They have a bunch of young talent and cap space so again, its another free hit. They need some more swagger, confidence, big game experience. Can see it happening

Brian Lake tweeted he wants Coons in the Hawthorn colours and Adams son is already on board. Interesting.

Not sure if this is the right place to put it but anyway this is the rumour I am seeing...
To Hawthorn - Adam Cooney, Daniel Cross
To Western Bulldogs - Xavier Ellis, Luke Lowden, Derek Wanganeen

That's the equivalent of Franklin and Sewell to the Dogs for Addison, Campbell and Pearce.

And just as likely.

I'd take Crameri in a heartbeat it's just I don't want to be giving up our 2nd rounder.

It'd be a hard forward-line to match

Dahlhaus Jones Grant
Stringer Crameri Higgins/Addison/Dickson

Yes, we've already laughed hard at that one, SG.
I personally wouldn't mind Cooney (although we really would be putting all of our eggs in one basket topping up) but not Cross that's for sure. Ellis is good.....for a few games he plays every season. Wanganeen promising but wouldn't have much trade value. Lowden is barely getting a game for Box Hill lol. Would be surprised if he was on our list next year

You wouldn't want Cross. You have Sewell who is younger and plays the same way.
I think you'll go for Cooney if you lose Franklin. Otherwise I don't think you'll be able to satisfy him with $$$$.

If I were Hawthorn, I wouldn't go for him. You need some young mids.

Collingwood gave up Tom Young and picked up Jordan Russell. Pretty similar

This is just like your transfer posts on the soccer board SG, won't happen. ;)

I like Crameri, and I was very keen on him, but now that Grant is showing he can play really good footy I don't want us to go too hard at him. Grant fills that role.

Don't want White, especially since I think he will cost a fair bit.

Lamb, Adams and Sheridan are the three players I'm super keen on. And Gumby for the right price. I think we will mainly go through the draft again though.

Summary from the swans game:

Lamb - hell yes. So damn silky. Good wheels. Rather him than a Crameri to be honest. 2nd round pick would be a good return for him.

White - disagree with those who thought he was poor today. I thought he was impressive again and very dangerous. I'm a yes on him for the right price as well.
