A few big names available next year. I'd say Christian Petracca, Darcy Moore and Isaac Heeney will get the most attention.

Jackson Macrae has been AA the last two years in a row, and is currently top 20 in player ratings. He'd be one of the biggest targets if he doesn't re-sign anytime soon (although I expect he does).
Jayden Short has been exploding recently, and has become one of the best rebounders in the competition, even winning Richmond's best and fairest this year.
Sicily and Maynard would be right up there too.

No disrespect to Heeney, but I would think Macrae and Short should be hotter property if they don't re-sign between now and end of 2022. Regardless, this list will likely trim down a lot over the next year, but there's some big names as it stands.

It'll be interesting to see whether long-term deals are back in vogue for the most in-demand FAs.

Someone like Petracca, for example, what length would Melbourne offer to keep him off the FA market? Six years? He'd be 32 in his last season of such a deal.

6 year deal for Petracca would be a no brainer for melbourne but would he accept that unless it was in the top bracket of the pay scale
6 year $5 mil would be a good deal for the Dee's

Think it’s a pretty poor pool considering usually at this stage there is a ton out of contract for next year but trac has signed as has touk Miller already

the main ones are really just Moore and Heeney

then the likes of Maynard, Daniel and Short

Heeney has never even been All Australian. He's as overhyped as De Goey, if not more

I’d take Heeney over all others if I had a choice
