Well, Lets just bloody well hope that the Pies can finally start to have a few good seasons. 5 odd years years without being in the final has started to get to me!! No, I'm not thinking of 'jumping ship'. (Just in case some smart-ass makes the comment!)

1st its called football patrioism.
2nd off, it would have taken about 5 seconds, to cut and paste the article from the AFL web-site, so i dont think he/she has too much time on their hands.

Adelaide paying pick 23 for Evan Hewitt looks pretty bad

Same West Coast paying 27 for Michael Prior

And Geelong paying 27+45+57 for end of career Mitchell White

Freo worked very hard to get Peter Bell, gave up James Clement, Brodie Holland, 6+22. Hard to argue he wasn't worth it though considering he was AA and in his prime and they needed leadership.

Clement became good at Collingwood though.

Greg Harding for Daniel Metropolis was a waste of everyone's time

Gehrig for Sierakowski + the Daniel Kerr pick (18) looks win-win. Both Gehrig and Kerr were fantastic.

Brisbane did well getting Mal Michael and 22 (Richard Hadley) from Collingwood for Jarrod Molloy and 44. Molloy was solid but already had injury issues.

Carlton got pick 4 for Aaron Hamill which seems fair. (And Cranage who was never any good.)

Saints got Hamill for Cranage and Darryl Wakelin, seems fair too.

Port got Wakelin for pick 4, also seems fair - he was pretty important in that flag team.

Surprisingly good three-club trade.

Surprisingly good three-club trade.

(If Hamill had been fit for the 2004 finals though it might have been a different story. But that's Hamill's Saints career in a nutshell.)

Not many really bad ones, probably the Evan Hewitt trade is the worst given what happened: Adelaide got 15 games out of Hewitt, North got 332 games out of Petrie, who they picked up with that pick 23.
