I think you could be right. SA really struggle in the tall forward position at the moment with Westhoff likely being the only one of any note. It's not entirely clear which state Eddie Betts would play for but if SA didn't get him then they might really struggle to kick goals. They have Wingard and Puopolo but I doubt that could do it all on their own. The midfield battle:

From what i have heard, Charlie Camerons little brother is at a boarding school in Perth and doing some training with the Eagles ATM.

Interesting, i imagine he is born a Qlder but in no way qualifies to be drafted by a local QLD team.

Hawkins didn't just "decide to play for Vic Metro.

He had been boarding at Melbourne Grammer for a his entire high schooling.

Kids generally get that option and it's not unusual to play for the state you are going to school in.

Especially under the old Div 1, Div 2 system where there was a major gulf in standard.

I'm sure he would of played for the Allies under the current system, which is a lot better.

Yeah we almost have a superfluous of talls thanks to the academy. Jack Payne is another from 2017 and we have a few more on the horizon such as Kobe Tozer in 2019

Agreed but it's expected - just as a Vic league origin team would be crushed by NSW and QLD. But the academies are slowly improving the number of quality QLD players. No Andrews or Hipwood without them

Be far better off doing an Allies team similar to that of the Under 18 Championships.
