I dunno. A few there who were really good at the Suns and as such earned them decent trades/compensation.

Martin hasn't shown more really. O'Meara's best was at the Suns pre-injury.

Lynch is no better at Richmond, nor is Prestia.
May was a gun at Gold Coast before leaving for Melbourne.
O'Meara's best was at Gold Coast before his injuries.
Martin has done stuff all at Carlton.
Wright is no better at Essendon.
Hall is no better at North and Dixon no better at Port.

s**t thread, would not read again.

Not quite true, Martin is getting paid a sh*tload more to do stuff all at Carlton.

Peter Wright is better at Essendon.

Impressive effort by the OP. Tried to be either smart or funny and ended up being neither.

Josh Caddy, Tom Hickey and Adam Saad viciously snubbed by OP.

Arguably Trent McKenzie (depending on how you rate his one season wonder cult hero status vs his semi-renaissance as a makeshift KPD at Port).

Peter Wright is far better at Essendon.

O'Meara has been better at Hawthorn also, but considering many expected him to be a generational talent and he's turned into just an okay midfielder means it isn't as obvious.

Lynch was better at the Suns IMO.

Prestia and May were just as good at the Suns but are now just in better systems.

I would also argue O'Meara was better and had more impact at the Sun's, but it can be debated.

Martin has also not really improved at Carlton, he would have flashes of brilliance for us as well.

Ah Chee has had a good start to the year so far, but has been middling for most of his Brisbane career, according to a Lion's supporting mate. He did have a game for the Suns when he kicked 6 snags.

Others hard to argue.

Lynch is no better at Richmond, nor is Prestia. Right on Lynch, Wrong on Presita
May was a gun at Gold Coast before leaving for Melbourne. Wrong
O'Meara's best was at Gold Coast before his injuries. Eh?
Martin has done stuff all at Carlton. Right
Wright is no better at Essendon. Wrong
Hall is no better at North and Dixon no better at Port. Wrong and Wrong

mmm I just see a list of players who were still developing. They naturally should have gotten better whether they were at another club or Gold Coast.
That's part of the problem though right?

Good players leaving when they are young

Also "do better" doesn't just mean to play better it means get more success or playing finals, winning flags etc.

How on earth can the Suns expect to retain good players when they haven't played a single final in 11 years

"Do better" includes playing finals and winning flags. Not just individual performance.

And if you think Wright is no better at Essendon you really are clueless.
Hes been miles better at Essendon. He's averaging 3 goals a game this season... In the bottom side . And leading the Coleman.

Keep it up though. Terrific opinions.
