List Mgmt. List structure 2021 - how many spots do we have? (2 rookie spots available)

If we did that, you know what would have happened.

"Grundy and Cameron have had an unfortunate incident in training, and will be out for 6-8 weeks."

Always need a few extra rucks.

We have about six though including Cox Roughead and Moore. With limited lists, specialist rucks are a luxury.

Cameron and Lynch need to add some other weapons to their artillery otherwise they will just be waiting for injuries to occur.

So just throwing the Lynch to defence thought out there.

With someone of his size.. I wouldn't limit him to ruck. Could try him in defence.

Didn't Lynch get delisted

Interesting Hine saying that the Pies might only use 5 picks tonight and save one for the pre season supplemental or mid season draft opportunities. Probably makes sense for those top age Vic kids who will inevitably slip through the net. Although I think you can use vacant rookie list spots in the mid season draft as well?

Unless he is to become a competent full back... then Lynch will likely be delisted 12 months from now. A bung investment.

No point putting (by then) 5 years into these project players for them to still not make the grade. The Ben Hudson type veteran ruck on the rookie list is the way to go for ruck depth.

Same can be said of depth full backs in my opinion. No point investing years into a 18 year old kid who eventually won’t make the grade as a full back... when plenty of veteran full backs that can be rookied

They hung onto him one year too long, but Dunn is the perfect example of that

We can't do that unless something has changed, as the pre-season supplemental and mid season drafts only allow players to be added as rookies. We also still have two Cat A rookie spots left if we want to invite one or two kids over to train so that we can get a better look at them before making a decision.

We need to add 6 more players to the senior list and there's really no benefit in us promoting Keane or Noble early (as we might need one or both promotions to fill our 3 player quota at the ND next year), although it wouldn't surprise me if that's what Hine is thinking because keeping an open mind / keeping your options open has never really been his strong suit.

I think the issue with Lynch is that he’s too similar ( just younger) to Cameron. I’m happy having a younger ruck developing on the list. But he is going to have to prove he can play key position to some extent. The same is true of Cameron.

Two backup specialist ruckman is one too many

For mine Cameron is already the perfect ruck depth who can float forward and take a contested mark. I’d keep him on the list in some capacity for years to come

Problem is we have poor KPF stocks so we rely on Cox playing forward. If we had adequate KPF... then Grundy, Cox and Cameron is all the ruck stocks that are needed imo.

I've watched Lynch play on numerous occasions and he just can't play the game. He can't play as a defender because he is just s**t

I’ve seen pics of him playing defender. Has all the attributes it seems but not every big guy can do a Roughead and play multiple positions on the ground. Maybe Lynch proves us all wrong in 2021?

I’d have delisted him this year. Even a taking Majak Daw as a rookie is a better list option as he can fill a gap in the ruck or down back
