Seems unlikely given Adam Simpson was an assistant coach at the Hawks for 4 years.
As a player Mitchell had 4 years of Simpson as an assistant coach at Hawthorn including as midfield coach in a flag year then 1 year as senior coach at WC, then as an assistant coach he had 1 year at WC in which the midfield improved significantly when it was tipped to decline and the team won an unexpected flag and there's a Simpson/Mitchell clash? I hope so because clearly Mitchell was holding us back!
