Really happy to see Gore invited back for next year and the club sticking by him through his ACL injury - hope he makes the final squad.

And while Mench wasn't seen as an AFL draft option this year (at least not as a f&s selection), I like that the club has invited him to be part of the VFL training squad should be not be picked up by someone else - give him 12 months at the club in the VFL and re-access again this time next year

So , if Baxter Mensch develops further in our VFL program and we decide we want to draft him next year, can we still nominate him as a father /son selection, or does he have to enter the draft?

I was thinking the same thing he seemed to perform well at the start of the season but dropped off later, he gets a lot of the ball hopefully he can perform well at VFL. Fletcher pulled out of this years draft and is available as a father/son next year to the Bombers. But I'm not sure if he's available them because he didn't nominate this year. The rule should allow a player who hasn't been on an afl list before to be available as a father/son any year as they clearly aren't gaining an advantage that other clubs couldn't have as they'd be available to all other clubs.

Zane Kieghran was apparently teammates with Jordan Clark in the Australian u/16 cricket team.

A good story on Gibbons the multiple Liston trophy winner on AFL.COM.AU. Given our history of drafting from within, why wouldn't he move to Geelong next year.

Josh has chosen to focus on his year with Geelong league club St Mary's.
Well, that too is a disappointing development.
Fresh off a PF appearance his junior club could use him in their push for their first flag in 20 years.

Jeremiah Scrutton... well I'll be.

CMIA was talking about him as a huge smoky we had interest in a while ago. There was never anything much to back this up, but now here he is.

Just funny to see it actually play out in some form. Be interesting to see if he progresses any further.

Scrutton's an interesting one.

Very glad we've hung onto both floyd's i honestly both are good enough to get onto AFL lists if they have a good year.

Glad the senior players in Keras Reid Tsitas and Capiron are staying.

Siggins is the interesting omission there has he given away vfl footy?

Nice to see Gore back and hopefully Mensch can be draftable next year.

I asked Krock about Lang last year and they said no - Darcy is from Colac and our new Lang is a local.

As for Ling - there were twins Matthew & Harry Ling who played for the Falcons, I found an article that said no relationship to our former captain

Not sure on the other two - maybe ask Krock as they seem to have an idea on those things
