I actually think that 7.30pm is the perfect time for this game to be shown, any earlier and people would miss the start, any later and people would just listen to it on the radio. Ch7 have also started to show a sunday 12pm game live lately, they are getting better.

When neither of our 2 sides play, they will show a live Sunday game, starting at midday because that is their televised game. The 11am game is a Fox game and so is the late start game.

Or if we are playing away on Sunday, the game will be live on 7, regardless of whether it is a Fox or 7 game. If it is a Fox game, then channel 7 will show 'their' game on Sunday night because they are only allowed to show 1 game in the afternoon... unless both WC and Freo are plaiying on Sunday.

The only other games they delay are our home games but that has always been the case and our home games are live on Fox usually.
 
Yeah but Kenny over here in SA we have had just 2 live Sunday Arvo games on C7 this year and one of them involved an SA team travelling to Melbourne. You can never trust Channel Seven. They are trying to convince us that crappy straight to DVD movies are better than Footy!
 
Personally, I won't even watch it on 7 - I've got it iqed and will watch it on Foxtel when I get home - I've seen one game on free to air - and my goodness, could they fit more ads in?

Sadly - I know that I'm weak and will breakdown and watch it on 7 - only because I can this week as I'm babysitting my newphew. We don't get a quality feed for the channels behind the hill in Northam. But at least I can watch it nearly ad free and enjoying watching us beat them twice in one night - funnily enough by the same score :)

I've watched every game this year at least twice - home games at the game and then again when I get home - regardless of a win or loss. If I'm watching it at home, the second time is to try and see where we have improved - or to try and figure out what the umpire was smoking when he made a particular decision.

I always make a habit of watching every game twice too, painful as it is sometimes sitting through losses again. I just find it gives me a better perspective on the game second time round once you take all the emotion out of it.

Makes you appreciate the little things players do that you might have missed while you were stressed out and jumping around. Helps stop kneejerk reactions and calling for the same scapegoats to be dropped every week no matter how they played too.

Surely if you could get to Subi for a 6:40pm start last week, you could do the same thing this week? 7:30 will probably rate better because all the nuetrals will be home in time, but for Freo fans it sucks IMO.

Why wouldn't they show Sunday's live from the start of the season, that was ridiculous.
 
I've changed my mind. I'm listening to it on the radio, while driving around with some mates picking up second hand furniture off the side of the road (yes, we are scabs, but hey, we do live in Rockingham...) :o

Wasn't the Doggies v Swans a last round game? My goodness 7 are behind the times. I would say it should be the Freo game though, or do 7 have a habit of showing old games?

Pretty sure the MOB has it live down Sowfs.

I'm still trying to decide what to do.

Considering what I posted on another thread. When I posted about not watching delayed on 7 I forgot about tonight's game.

I expect if dont go to the MOB i'll swallow some humble pie and watch it delayed.

In saying that I enjoy listening to footy, so who knows. :confused:
 
How the hell do they have it live??

7 would obviously provide the rights...... Have they done a deal in which they will try and create as much trouble for the club as possible and 7 will give them the game live??

Dunno. Was talking about it work yesterday and couldnt come to any conclusion how it happens.
I suspect it might be something to do with satelites and decoders.
Mabey they dont have it live.
One of my work mates is going and he is sure it will be live.

By "live" I'm sure they mean in slow motion with everyone chipping in about how they'd do a better job.:p
