buggerSo, the AFL, has just scrapped live pass, with Telstra sending out emails saying to stream live games you now need to pay for Kayo...thanks very much.
In year 2 it goes to 300 bucks a year.bugger
looks like I will have to do what I said I'd never do............and pay for it
The data is not freeWhich is super annoying as I use Live Pass. It was free and more importantly data wasn't counted. Now I have to pay for the exact same thing I got for free and I have no idea if the data will be free. If it is that makes things more complicated.
Gets expensive though as you not only have to pay for the actual subscription but you also have to pay for the unlimited data plan.bugger

Yeah, I guess Telstra customers will be just like every other network user and have to pay for it.For one year?
The data was not counted when streaming AFL games. That was one of the big benefits. The data is not free
but if you buy a premium pass which then means 3 homes can access . $35 per months /3 is $11.67 per month and you get all of kayo not just AFLSo the first year costs 60 bucks where it was, what, $90 before, then the second year it goes to 300 bucks, if they leave it at the current price?
So much extra value....
Now it will beThe data was not counted when streaming AFL games. That was one of the big benefits.
i think the data is free if you are a telstra customerThe data is not free
i think the data is free if you are a telstra customer
Which doesn't help me at all. Going to make it much harder to watch football away from home.

Yah so now you get to pay for it and use your dataWhich doesn't help me at all. Going to make it much harder to watch football away from home.
Actually I won't pay for it or use my data as I will just listen to the games on the radio. I am not getting an unlimited data plan just because Telstra are greedy.Yah so now you get to pay for it and use your data
Im in the Middle East I was going to see if I could stream Live Pass AFL games via WIFI over here, not sure what I'ii be doing now? Maybe no AFL games attended or watched for 2021 for me!Which doesn't help me at all. Going to make it much harder to watch football away from home.
Live Pass was only in Australia but you can watch AFL games overseas through another platform but you have to pay for itIm in the Middle East I was going to see if I could stream Live Pass AFL games via WIFI over here, not sure what I'ii be doing now? what do you mean by year 2?In year 2 it goes to 300 bucks a year.
Yeh Ive just found out how to watch it in the Middle East;Live Pass was only in Australia but you can watch AFL games overseas through another platform but you have to pay for it
The subscription fee doesn't even bother me. It is the data usage that does as you need a huge amount of data to watch AFL on a phone or tablet. It appears I have to pay $199 to watch AFL this year from the ME but I can only watch it on my mobile phone. With the different time zones, I'ii just try and watch the game highlights via the AFL app instead.
