After the way Benetiz carried on when Robben took a dive, It smacks of arrogance when a month later one of his players (Luis Garcia) does the exact same thing, however does it in a much more pathetic manner as the instigator.

He sends him on to antagonise our players, elbowing Mullins in the back and holding his arm pulling him away from the ball. Mullins pushes him off him and Garcia hits the ground like hes been shot. Both got sent off for violent conduct. Garcia means nothing to the Liverpool team hence why obviously he was sent on but Mullins is our first team player and obviously Benetiz saw him as a easy target.

It was happening all night though with Hamman and Kromkamp getting stuck into Reo Coker at every chance, clearly trying to antagonise waiting for there chance to take a dive.

All respect I had for Liverpool is now gone, Benetiz is a pathetic man who makes Mourinho look noble and respectable. They may have won the fight but they wont win the war.

That couldnt have any less to do with it, a bit of human decency and fair play is all that I ask, something Benetiz cant deliver. Im expecting him to apologise to Mourinho and Robben very shortly too......

Least get the story right you loser. It was Mullins who shoved Garcia and Garcia retaliated. I have the proof.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=195984&cc=3436

Semi-final winner Garcia had only been on the field for two minutes when he tangled with Mullins in a tackle. Mullins pushed the Spaniard to the floor, with both players raising their hands, and referee Howard Webb showed both players a straight red card.

SO next time stop being so 1 eyed and get the facts right before accusing the wrong people. you need a good kick to the head

Surely you aren't serious. Mullins a first-teamer but Garcia not part of the plans?? Would Liverpool be playing in the FA Cup final if not for Garcia? Would Liverpool be reigning (albeit for not much longer) Champions of Europe if not for Garcia. Maybe Carragher doesn't figure in Benitez' plans either given he played the full 90mins? I guess that means we won't see Marlon Harewood in the final either?

Nearly every midfielder/forward in the world takes a dive here or there.

What does it have to do with Benitez anyway? Of course he's going to stick up for his players in the media or any other public forum. I doubt it would do the world of good to rip into them for all the world to see.

As for Mourinho - Martin Bryant could be the opposition manager and Jose would still look like scum.

I take it you didnt watch the game

Problem was the elbow to the back and the fact he wudnt let go of him even though the free kick was given. It was clearly a dive too, he started grabbing his face it was nowhere near his head.

FA Cup final might mean nothing to Garcia but it does to Mullins and to see his dream taken away cos of a dirty cheat is downright pathetic.

And also Embers, aren't you the one who cops stick for making stuff up on the West Coast board that no-one believes.......... what makes this any different?

Good luck in the final anyway. We can replace Garcia, can the Hammers replace.............. what's his name??

An elbow in the back ? I take it you only see west ham games right ? as i said it happens every epl game every week, I suggest you watch soem more this weekend. West Ham are never going to win the fa cup this season, Liverpool will win it, everyone knows that, it is so obvious.

Stop being so jealous of the lack of success west ham have got and the success Liverpool are having, wining a trophy each of the last 2 season under Benetiz.

You stupid dumb jealous git

LOL @ Liverpool fans, not one of you has actually seen the game, talk about your bandwagoners, jump on board peoples

I think your getting mixed up between Jimmy_the Gent and the West Coast board here. Anyway how the heck cud this be made up, its right ther on :D:D:D:Den video, every Hammers fan and every Liverpool fan (excl. bandwagoners) saw it. Hell Benetiz actually apologised over the incident now I read but its a bit late now but still no apology to Mullins which is a shame

This has sure ignited the flame in the West Ham camp, thank god it wasnt Reo Coker, Mullins is one of the very few players atm we have the squad depth to be able to replace.

I love this s##t!!!! Good healthy rivalry. To be honest I couldn't care less about Hayden Mullins or West Ham. I'm more interested in the 3 points and more importantly a trophy in a couple of weeks time. I feel sorry for Luis but hey, I'm a Reds fan so I'm meant to. Just like you're a.....hahaha.....a.....haha.....Hammers fan and entitled to have a sook about last night's result. No I didn't see the game, that's why I didn't comment on the incident.

I actually think West Ham have a huge chance of upsetting us. I just hope our players earn their paycheque and that big-game experience comes to the fore. I'd hate for our over-confidence to bite us on the ass :p

And if I were a bandwagon supporter wouldn't I be a Chelsea fan? Why is it anyone who supports a mediocre team needs to accuse anyone who supports a decent team of jumping on. Why do you suppoprt West Ham?

Stupid stuff by both players.

Garcia going down had no effect on what happened later as the ref was standing right there.

Dirty cheating scum is a bit of an overreaction I would have thought

And yes I saw the game. A very good contest which I thought the Hammers deserved a point for. Sheringham showed some vintage touches.

Nice first goal by Cisse.

Garcia had the ball, and Mullins took it off him. Garcia was frustrated at this, and proceeded to tangle with Mullins, pushing him in the back, and then elbowing him.

Mullins then proceeded to turn around, and lunge at Garcia's face with his hands. The way Luis rolled around the turf was farcical.

They both deserved reds, but Garcia was clearly the insitgator.

I thought we were very unlucky not to get at least a point either. We definitely had our chances, and Walker let in 2 goals, that he probably would like to have again.

If Luis didn't go down, probably nothing would've happened to the both of them

Silly, silly man, that dive's gonna cost him an FA Cup final, punishment enough for a dive

And Mullins deserved what he got, you don't pull someone's face like that

You must be having a laugh? Garcia means nothing to Liverpool ? He only scored the winner last weekend, the winner in last years champions league semi final and against Juventus. Garcia is a huge loss for us. Garcia shines on the European stage something Mullins is yet to see.

Oh and for the record the commentators on the radio said Garcia SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN GIVEN A STRAIGHT RED CARD.

Don't worry if West Ham want a war then i'm sure a war they shall get.

I did see the game, and I hope they both regret what they did - they will both now miss the FA Cup final and deservedly so. It was actually quite a good game of football, marred by five seconds of stupidity. I will not go into this blame game crap, no-one put a gun to Mullins' head and told him to retaliate.

West Ham should just worry about finding a decent right-back in time - if Cisse can tear apart Scaloni, just imagine what Harry Kewell (pending fitness) will do.

If we talking facts, the actual facts are that Garcia instigated it, Mullins was silly doing what he did in retaliation.

Anton was at right back  , Scaloni was on the left, Anton had a very good game vs Boro probably best on ground cos he completely shut Downing out and forced him into silly shots. Just a off day for him, our defence looked slow cos Gabbidon wasnt playing.

He may have only cost 100k but hes probably our most important player and is most likely gonna win Hammer of the Year so im not to worried about that defence cos it cant be judged without him IMO.

Good sign was seeing Finnan struggle with Etherington, who shud get 2nd for Hammer of the year award.

Embers had a fair bit to say about Arsenal after the Gunners vs Spurs match on the weekend. However, I do have an unbiased message for Embers regarding all the concerns raised in this thread by him :
