Got a Portugese headbutter for 120 million.

people that barely know what's going on but are furious anyway are the funniest kinds of sports fans

If it's not Bellingham we will be signing someone else of equivalent quality next window. Milner & Oxlade Chamberlain are almost certainly gone. Keita likely will be gone. So we will need at least 2 high quality midfielders coming in with a view to Thiago likely moving on at the end of 23/24 season. And by then Henderson will be 33 going on 34. Tyler Morton hopefully has a big season at Blackburn on loan like Elliott did so him returning from loan can also be a "new" signing.

Our spend on midfield players is 7m each for a few kids (Carvalho / Elliott) plus Thiago for 20m 2 years ago since the 2018 transfer window. In normal circumstances that simply is not enough to keep competing at the top level. In that time we have relied extensively on Milner who is approaching 700 games played.

It's time for the warchest to be unlocked next summer and spend big on some quality midfielders. It's not even an option really if Liverpool want to keep competing at the top.

One season wonder.

I find it satisfying that after LVG talked Timber out of a Manchester United move because it would jeopardise his World Cup spot, Liverpool have ruined VVD for him. 😂
