Livo may go into PSD?

The latest speculation is that Luke Livingstone may nominate for the PSD. Apparenty he isn't happy with a one year deal Carlton are offering him.

I hope this isn't the case as he is only 21 and still has alot of improvement in him. I think we saw glimpses of what he can do during the 2003 season when he held down FB all year and did pretty well under Britain.

I hope he doesn't go - especially in the PSD as we wont get anything for him!

i will be devastated if he goes in the pre season draft becuase if he could played full back then it would realese our hole team it would let thornton to chb then lappin to the midfield and it would be very good for us to keep him

I think the point here is that if he doesn't feel he'll get a go under Pagan then he'll probably be moving on. I reckon most teams would be pretty happy to take a punt on him via the PSD.

The one advantage to Carlton if he does go into that draft is that it would move us up the pecking order and give us an earlier pick in December. Having said that it seems that most of the decent out of contract players have either re-signed with their club or are pretty close to doing so.

I am with you though blue boy....I rather not see him go in the first place

yeah it would be really dissapointing loosing livo especially considering the fact we won't get anything for him. I think if he stays injury free and gets a big stronger he will be a good full back for us and allows us to free up brett thornton who had a very good season to center half back.Hopefully he stays at carlton.

You guys are kidding? He should ******** off if 1 year isnt good enough. He has done nothing since being drafted and showed a glimpse of potential in the last few weeks to save his arse from being delisted. Carlton have given him a go whilst others would have told him to ******** off. We have patiently sat through all the injuries etc and now that he may actually have a preseason and be fit enough to start the season next year he thinks hes worth more. If he actually proves himself next year the club would no doubt offer him a contract. Im sick of players interested in their wallets and not the club. Those of you who are members should read the lastest club magazine where Heath Scotland is gratefull for the opportunities given to him. He mentions that if he had 2 bad minutes of footy Collingwood would drop him now Dennis will give him a spray but pesist with him regardless giving him a feeling that the coach has confidence in him. Dennis will give the same support to Luke if he is fit enough to play. Its up top luke to prove hes up to it. Give me players who want to play for our club, will bleed for our jumper and be prepared to do the hard work to see us on top again. If you think youre good enough luke - prove it then youll be rewarded.

Facing the prospect of losing Pat Bowden in the Pre-Season draft ourselves i know how you feel. I would hope if he did go into the draft the Dogs would really go after him. Two questions is he capable of holding down the oppositions 2nd tall (or even no.1 forward Haris gets suspended a bit) week after week, 2nd has he ever been tried up forward?

Question 1 - No, not week after week........He only beat Lloyd cos it was raining, Neitz cos he couldnt kick straight and with McDougall was 50/50. Other than that he never beats his opponent hands down.

Question 2 - Couldn't kick straight to save his life. Absolutely horrendous disposal both hand and foot. Looks like he's running around with concrete boots on.

Other than that......I would give him ONE more year to prove himself. Only because we have persisted with him for so long, it would be a bummer to see him do well for another team after all the opportunities we have given him.

It amazes me that even after our years of failure, there are some people who think that holding on to dudes will only make us better...

If they can't (or in Lance's case - won't) play...move them on and find players who want to be there. Surely the drafts of last season has proven this!!
