But polls indicating whether people approve or disapprove of a president’s performance are unreliable. Because approving or disapproving is completely different from liking or not liking.

Ok so now you've flipped down the path of dismissing polls you don't like showing that only about a third of Americans approve of the pipeline being cancelled. Its hard to keep up with you people . The reason people don't like the decision is that it will cost thousands of jobs, increase fuel prices, damage relationship with Canada and cause further reliance on OPEC. So I put it to you. How will cancelling the pipeline help Americans?

All I want to know is, on what basis, do you believe most Americans are in favor of it? I said that I believe the polls to be credible. But you don’t believe in polls. So on what basis do you claim to discern American sentiment on this?
