Personally, I love both Hewitt and Mundine. Both fighters who love stickin' it up the knockers.:thumbsu:
Ditto.

Mundine can go too far sometimes but then again that's what makes him such a character. And while Hewitt mightn't be a force anymore I won't forget that when he was at his peak he always gave his best for Australia in Davis Cup, and he had some bloody memorable wins.

OEH, winning one title per year isn't much, winning 5 titles over five years isn't a sign of a good player, a good player should be winning at least three per year..
I did say at least one per year. If it's so easy, why has no-one else done it?

Whenever I hear Hewitt, it's crap. I can win the open. No you can't, and you should realize that by now.
You'd prefer him to say he's just making up the numbers? That sort of winning attitude will get him everywhere.
Hewitt has been struggling for form for five years now since 2002, .
Pretty hard to keep up that level of dominance forever, especially against the likes of Federer. In any case, I wish I 'struggled' like has post-2002. You forget he was still #1 more than halfway through 2003, finished 2004 as the #3 ranked player, and 2005 @#4.
and has been passed by players like Nalbandian. .
So what? No-one's saying he's the best player in the world currnetly. Is a long way from sh** though.
A sign of a good player is he keeps up with the best, Hewitt hasn't done that, he's not competitive with any of the top ten and if he was any good, he'd show some fight for instance against Gonzales on his home court.
I'll say again, is only the last year his form has waned. Must've been fairly competitive to be #4 at the end of 2005.
I thought he was great against Gonzales (the eventual R/UP) anyhow. Gonzales played out of his @rse that match, particulalrly the first two sets, and some fight was exactly what Hewitt showed.

Hewitt hasn't done anything since 2002 that has proven the knockers wrong. He's like Roddick, was good for a couple of years then tapered off. The only thing is that Roddick lasted less because he had to compete with Federer.
 2003- still #1
2004- (Ranking:#3) US OPEN R/UP, Won 4 titles, R/UP another tournament.
2005- (Ranking:#4) AUST.OPEN R/UP, won 1 title, R/UP another tournament
2006- (Ranking:#20) Won 1 title.

Absolutely, he held the Davis Cup team together for years. Was our most successful DC player at age 22, and we've had some pretty handy players over the years.
