yeah, what a great last point as well...great game in general!

Thank god for ESPN!
I'll third that. That was gripping stuff, that scoreline also doesn't show that he was down a break in the fifth set as well and looked gone (iirc he was broken, broke back then was broken again to go to 1-2). But you can never count Lleyton out. What a legend.

With Juan Carlos, I never felt the game was won until the last point. He showed great fighting qualities coming back from 2 sets down like he did and I'm just glad I won and finished the year off on a good note.

Lleyton nearly snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, but I'm glad to see he prevailed in the end.

I still wish Pat Rafter would make a comeback though - I miss perving on those legs!

the future of tennis is bright when we have lleyton, safin (if he gets his temperment together), ferrero, federa, kuerton, hass, blake, rodick and the guy from thiland (wont attempt spelling) around & WLL be around for 10+ years

Well done, LH! Hmm, this got me thinking. GW Bush's election win back in 2000 makes good sense after all. Hewitt won less games (24 v. 26) yet undisputedly won the match.

In the most extreme case, a 7-6 7-6 0-6 0-6 7-6 match would produce a game tally of 21 for the winner and 30 for the loser, yet it would probably never even cross our mind to say it was unfair. Or would it (I don't follow tennis too closely)?

I'm amazed someone didn't mention Tennis when they had the broohaha over the election result over here. :)

Yes fifth set tie-breakers are a joke.
