No fan of Lloyd's however if Hawthorn players want to know what a real sniper looks like they just have to look at their coach.

Lloyd's arms are also coming out to protect himself.
The more I look at it, the more I am unsure.
Sure, I am an Essendon fan.
But there is absolutuly NO DISPUTE he was shoved into that hit.
The tribunal will have to weight that up.
I just wish the media would show the whole incident from the wide view, not the zoomed in one which just shows the hit.
It's a slap in your face when your own words come back to haunt you.

The only similariity is was that their opponents got concussed. In all other aspects they are totally different.
1. Lloyd was running at high speed while Franklin was stationary.
2. Sewell had his head over the ball while Cousins had the ball in his possession and was running.
3. Franklin made full body contact on Cousins including incidental head high contact. It was a bump. Lloyd made no body contact at all on Sewell except to the head. It was not a bump. It was a charge. They wont even be reported for the same offence.
4. Franklin had a split second to decide what to do. Lloyd made a premeditated decision to charge in at the centre bounce and cause some damage, not unlike Yeats on Brereton.
and as for Campbell 'pillar of honour and honesty' Brown...

Seems like he set him up to snipe him.....
You can also post countless videos of Brown putting his head over the ball, running back with the flight and generally injuring himself for the sake of the team. He's like Brereton in that way, hands it out but also takes it and puts himself in positions where he will cop it. Can honestly say I can't recall Lloyd ever doing any of the abovementioned things, he's a pretty soft/cowardly player.
1) Did Lloyd intentionally injure Sewell?
Difficult to ever prove intent in a situation like this - unless it can be shown that Lloyd did eye-off Sewell before contact, as in looking for a spot to hit, then it'll be hard for intent to be proven.
2) Is there a difference between the Buddy incident and the Lloyd incident
Absolutely. Buddy's a pure bump. Lloyd's was front-on contact.
Essendon are arguing that Lloyd was pushed - what are your thoughts?
It has been shown that Schoenmakers did make contact with Lloyd from behind before the incident occurred. The questions you have to ask are: was it a push? was the contact enough to put Lloyd off balance? Did the contact have a direct impact on the incident as a whole? Will be a challenge to answer all of those questions.
4) How many weeks do you think Lloyd will get
I'm going 3 weeks, with Lloyd able to get it down to 2 with an early plea.
[/QUOTE]5) How many weeks do you think Lloyd should get
1 at most.

OOOPS maybe I was too premature in saying that the last post was the biggest load of rubbish.
Not unlike Yeats on Brereton?? You can't be serious can you??? One was a definitive behind the play sniper attack, ball nowhere to be seen, both players not in the play..... The other was a contested ball, a collision eventuated, and a player was knocked out.
Very much unlike each other, and to argue otherwise is the height of stupidity.
Team: Unlisted, Location: Hobart, enough said.![]()
You are right - very much unlike each other. Yeates actually hit Brereton in the body as opposed to Lloyd who just smashed Sewell in the head. But since Sewell had his head over the ball you think it is ok?
If you watch the side on view just before impact Lloyd has his head nice and high out of harms way as he accelerates into the "accident".
I can just see the defence. EFC - He was going for the ball. Tribunal - why was he looking at the sky? This is why Lloyd is in a lot of trouble. His intent was to instigate contact and he made zero effort to protect Sewell's head - in fact all he did was try and protect his own. Coward.
The Judd vs Lloyd post tells the story. Look at it closely. Judd has eyes for the ball, as always. Lloyd does not look at the ball, just at the ball player. Reported tonight on Fox Sports that Sewell has a broken cheeck and fractured eye socket. 4 weeks minimum, and Lonergan and Ryder must go also. 1 week each.
It means it was a collision in play, unlike being picked off, either in the body or the head being insignificant, behind the play.
And one of two things is wrong here, when the collision occurs it is almost a head clash, therefore, either Sewell's head was not over the ball as you have stated, or Lloyd's head was not nice and high out of harms way. Which is it Einstein?
And show me where I said I was forming a defence for his Tribunal hearing.
You knob
erm, he had 3 hawthorn players hanging off him during the resulting melee. not quite sure how that constitutes 'running away' like some of you peanuts are suggesting?Actually Lloyd did try to avoid all contact ran away like a girl after he hit Sewell, but had nowhere to go.... That's a man who knows he has done something stupid.
Notice though how you didn't respond to the TRUTH that Essendon dirty tactics are what brought about the Hawthorn aggression in 2004.
Too hard to swallow?
It was "almost a head clash". Nice - open you eyes freak. He hits Sewell deliberately with the point of his shuolder. Just because the ball was there doesn't mean Lloyd wasn't "picking him off". If Lloyd was a ball player his hands would have been down there competing for it - but he is not always a ball player is he.
