Amazing how the entire Ch9 footy panel backed Lloyd's actions as accidental and unavoidable.

Did they? I can't remember Thompson, Crawford, JB or Brownless indicating that Lloyd's actions were accidental and unavoidable. I guess BT does say a lot and dominated the conversation but he is only one of the panel.

These are the words of an impartial football expert panel.

Good to get a little perspective.

Before you begin worrying about perspective, learning how to count should be a priority.

Perspective is that Sewell has a shattered jaw and eye socket that could well have been significantly, worse. As I said earlier, the incident is eerily similar to the Neil Sasche incident.

F**K me drunk.. which I am right now..but may I make a few points:

1) Lloyds hit was wreckless, but advantageous to Essendon. We have had MANY questionable encounters with Hawthorn over the years. Oh, and Brown, today was the equalizer for 2004 ;) We didnt forget..

2) Whilst Lloyds hit was harsh, let spare a thought for Campbell Brown, and Hawthorn for that matter. They pride themselves on "unsociable" football, but act like a bunch of adolenscent school boys when things dont go their way? Pathetic.. From old Jeff, to campbell, all the way to Alistair Clarksons disgraceful effort at the 3/4 time break. Totally pathetic. I forgot that old Alistair doesnt condone violence, agressive footy or cheap tactis... How short his memory span is =P Didnt Hawthorn win a flag of recent times using similar tactics?

3) Campbell Brown. What can I say? His rant exposed him as being nothing more than an ill minded twit with the mentality of a sea donkey =) He DID (contrary to popular belief) remonstrate with Lloyd directly after the incident. No dramas there, this is to be expected, and infact he is obligated to do so for the sake of his team. Admirable. But to do sweet f**k all, end up with a split eye and THEN (solo, might I add) have a go at the Essendon bench, the runners? are you dead set serious Campbell? To top it off, to go on radio and whinge like a 16 year old school girl on her rags is completely laughable. He, similar to Clarkson, tends to forget the brand of footy Hawthorn has prided themselves on.

Conclusion: We can all argue injuries and lack of experience, and none of us will agree. What is a matter of fact is that Hawthorn were beaten, physically and on the score board. You looked weak today. Consider this the equalizer, we also dont forget campbell =P

You've done well to get that post out given your level of literacy. Did it take you a day and half?

How about you get your facts right before you post. ;)

Sewell does not have a shattered jaw, it is fractured.

Hawthorn media manager Clinton Bown told Sportal on Sunday that Sewell was now resting quietly at home after being discharged from hospital on Saturday night. But he confirmed the serious facial injuries - which won't require surgery but will be given time to heal naturally

Now go back to the Unlisted board. :thumbsu:

Zeke you are a tool. Lloyd had no choice he never intended to line Sewell or anyone else up coming off the square. Think about it idiot how couls he have possibly known where the ball was going to be tapped out to? unlike when Robertson in 83 just smashed Watson 30 metres away from the ball now thats weak as pi5s. Will be great to see the colliwobbles go out in straight sets

Probably, three weeks. Essendon normally get favourable treatment from the officiating instruments of the AFL. McClaren was a big help on the weekend as well.

Like to know when that's happened...I really do.

One thing is for sure, if he is given an early plea, he'll take it. We won't have the farce of last week.

Trouble with your comprehension or your hearing??

Thompson is adamant, on a number of occasions, that the collision was purely accidental and unavoidable.

Not one of the panel members said the head high contact was a deliberate act.

It was "almost a head clash". Nice - open you eyes freak. He hits Sewell deliberately with the point of his shuolder. Just because the ball was there doesn't mean Lloyd wasn't "picking him off". If Lloyd was a ball player his hands would have been down there competing for it - but he is not always a ball player is he.

And Buddy could have tackled enjoy your september you muppet

Amazing how the entire Ch9 footy panel backed Lloyd's actions as accidental and unavoidable.

BT said Lloyd was so low coming in to the contact that he almost clashed heads with Sewel. It was only a last second move by Sewel that made the contact strike the lower jaw NOT head high.

They all agreed Lloyd is a hard but fair player and NOT a sniper! In fact they praised him for his leadership in the game!

They took pot-shots at Brown for his outrageous outburst!

They took a shot at Clarkson for a career of sniper acts!

They took at shot at Hawthorn for being hypocritical!

They condoned Essendon's official response today on yesterdays events!

These are the words of an impartial football expert panel.

Good to get a little perspective.

Last time I checked the lower jaw is actually attached to the head... hence making it "head high". ;)

Trouble with your comprehension or your hearing??

No my hearing and comprehension are fine. Your statement the entire Channel 9 panel said the incident was accidental and unavoidable - that didn't happen.

Not one of the panel members said the head high contact was a deliberate act.

They didn't discuss Edward Kennedy's funeral either. Big shift from your original claim, originally the entire panel said it was accidental and unavoidable, now its they didn't say it was deliberate.

Maybe, you should ponder before you post.
