Just been watching a replay of the game on Fox. Lloyd would have the be the worst foward in the A.F.L, honestly whenever the ball gets near him he bloody slips over. He kicked 4 goals for the game, but 90% of those goals he kicked were free-kicks from the umpire.

Absolute crap he is and if i was an Essendon supporter i'd be ashamed to have this sort of player on the team, he nothing but a scum, a diver!

Hands in the back rule= the Matthew Lloyd diving rule

How about in the last when he thought he was about to get touched on his back and hee just dropped. Disgrace. They should introduce yellow and red cards for these pathetic divers.

Dont mean to be picky friend....but 90% of 4 goals is 3.6 goals but I know exactly what you are saying:thumbsu::thumbsu:

received 2 free kicks for the match.

fevola's stage when touched in midriff by mcveigh was shameful

So 3.6 of his goals were free kicks from the umpire? Very precise figure there, you huge intellect...

Fevola was the better forward on the night. And one of the few unselfish games I've seen from the big man. Would love to see him with a premiership though or two 100+ hauls (not bad figures from the "the worst forward in the AFL")...

turned the game with a leaders goal from 50m.

lloyd the captain that wins matches...
Lloyd the captain, you mean Lloyd the diver, because thats all he is. Jammo didnt even touch him and he'd fall over, he is an absolute disgrace. BEIJING HERE WE COME for Lloydie

I think he is a bloody good full forward, but it does get a bit frustrating (especially when at the game after downing 8 beers......you let the umpires know)

Lloyd was shocking last night. Granted, he was accurate, but aside from the umpires and receiving the ball in the goal square, he was rubbish. Jamison had his number all night.

some of this is true as lloyd played par but just goes to show carlton need to play a more team game like essendon did to get the 4pts.
essendon don't rely on lloyd as much as carlton do with fevola even with lucas out.

Exactly Fevola >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lloyd
Fevola doesnt need free kicks to kick goals

Free kick count for the night Essendon 26 Carlton 14 ... mmmm

WHAT CAN DEFENDERS DO?

It puzzles me, One incident last night:

Someone leading outside 50, defender right on his tail, the forward dives (Lloyd ) for the mark, the back dives to punch it, and doing so, not landing on the forwards back, and the free is given to the forward!

Its a f u cking disgrace. Its called momentum, is the defender supposed to let him take the mark so a free isn't paid?

Another incident last night, where the defender had front position, almost has the mark, and the chasing forward clearly gives a shove, and lands on the poor bloke, play on, and it resulted in a goal

POOR FORM UMPIRES!

So we are now going to judge entire careers on the basis of one whole game? Wow, they'd be a few superstars in the competition then...

Wow, that's great - but why don't you dig up the "Goals from Frees" statistic? Would be much more relevant to your discussion.

If he played for us you'd want to have his babies. Good bloke, great kick, not a squib but pushes the rules to the limit - a classic Sheedy trait.
