i just got the word, lloydy has got the all clear after the video review
and rightly so
i was a bit worried though
the tribunal has been pretty ordinary
but now hopefully johno will come good and by all reports he will
and its bring on the dees

rooboy they have made some shockers so you have to be worried
was it hamill who they said kicked and therefor got off but had it been a trip he would have got weeks
that was a case of the afl doing what they want for the benifit of themselves
carlton was playing essendon the next week in the "blockbuster"
there have been others
corey mckernan got a week that cost him the rising star award
and do i have to mention chris grant

If Lloyd even got reported for his "hit" on Manton, then the game has gone way too soft. What frustrates me is that players can get suspended for "attempting to strike" like what happened to Archer, or two players can do a similar thing, but one gets suspended and the other doesn't get reported (like Buckley this year). It's not the fault of the players, but the fault of the umpires and administration who are incapable of applying the rules on a consistent basis.

Now, the cynic in me asks this. If it had been a player other than Lloyd, or if the incident had happened in any match other than the preliminary final, would there have been a report? Or don't the AFL want to face a tribunial, an unsuccessful appeal followed by legal action.
