Logical Solution to Clash Strip

🥰 Love BigFooty? Join now for free.

I have secured permission from the original author on Carlton Supporters Club to post his suggested Clash Strip. He has sent it off to the club for consideration. Let's hope that they have considered it, as it is the best that I have seen among the myriad of other peoples attempts. It really keeps the tradition of us being the Navy Blues, but clearly does not clash with any other clubs strip.

CSC rules dictate that I have to provide a link back to them, so I will do so, by providing the url to my original thread on CSC and the url to the author's (Midget) post as well. Please find both below:

You might wonder what the watermark like impressions are on the white background. Midget thought that having the names of all the people who have been a Member for the past 5 years, in faint writing/print; would provide a great incentive and encouragement to remain a member!

He also remarked that his design is loosely based on our original strip, but with the faint text inserted. I think it looks superb. What say you?

Send this into the club it is the best clash jumper i have seen.

make it happen Brizzy

Thank God that Powder Blue rubbish is going.

Looks like Nike will be submitting some designs to the CFC for their assessment.
Was it you Claypigeon that mocked up some designs?
I recall an absolute beauty in your mix. It used what seemed to be a "tick" That went from front to back.
Thought it was very clever and certainly worthy of throwing it the CFC's way.

Sorry, but that looks like a pre-season or training jumper. Not much tradition there.

How about the reverse of the original jumper above? All white with navy yoke, navy CFC on white below it. Sorry for how crude and crap this looks, but you get the idea:

I have always had an idea for a Carlton clash... one that the most traditionalist Blue will loathe.
The idea is based on character... I see Carlton as a rich and proud club, that's something the navy blue displays yet the white or baby blue doesn't really capture.
Which is why I have always thought that a gold jumper with a navy blue monogram... maybe even some blue pinstripe's would really capture Carlton's character.

I quickly put this together in photoshop... I don't expect that you'll see it the way I do but that's just my idea.
Thanks :)

Jesus, sorry but that is excrement.

I see that Carlton Fc website has the current Poxy Blue guernsey on special.

That definately tells me it's all over red rover for the Baby Blue strip. Thank god for that!!!

Good lord just NO !!!!!!!!!!!

Seeing as clubs are being FORCED to wear these clash jumpers and they are 90% of the time designed by people either high on drugs or have no graphic design skills at all...this jumper above at least shows some compassion and understanding of the history of the club.

Carlton are the "navy blues" and this should be acknowledged before we go down the "In the English Premier League they do this blah, blah, blah" path. ie it is comparing apples with pears (two different sports/two distinct histories). Whatever they do these graphic designers on drugs at Nike...they should acknowledge that there is a reference to the navy blues in Carlton's song and it is inferred (the navy) in their nickname. At least with this jumper above there is some navy blue. That is a positive. If they want to "compromise" more in favour of what people outside the club want they could make the back completely white, wear white shorts...but at least on the front there is some navy blue.
