Pretty sure there was an older TXU logo, can't find it. I just remember those annoying TXU ads with some guy and then the follow up ad changing name to TRU. Something along the lines of 'different name, same service' or similar to that. Didn't realise energy Australia was the rebranded TRU

.They've only had their new one for wgat seems like a year.
I reckon that simple font style will date really soon across each company that has it.
The other one was good, and could have stuck around for a few years, but this one's more professional, and considering it'll be all over a sports kit and the MCG this coming summer, it'll probably look bette like this, maybe the blue is a bit too light for the yellow though.

Old one had a bit of personality. It would've been a nightmare to design around, but when I see it on my homescreen, I know what it is. The new one will not stand out whatsoever among the many apps that have this generic design. Why couldn't they have just flattened out the old logo??A very Instacrappy redesign.

I actually don't mind the change, the colours and how they are being used are certainly not the best, but the change has now allowed for the whole Instagram app suite to have a similar brand (Instagram, Layout, Boomerang, and Hyperlapse).
I am also liking the cleaned up look within the app.
I've decided not to update the app until it forces me to. Don't want to see it.
