The Legends Game, though for a good cause, like akkaps said is just another chance for a bunch of has-beens to jump back into the limelight.

Surprises me 7 have the contract. I always thought the Legends Match was a Channel 9/ The Footy Show sort of thing.

Ch9 made it into Footy Show thing. I don't watch The Footy Show because of Sam Newman, Shane Crawford, and the guests that are just there to be 'famous'. I think they did the right thing by added Rebecca Maddern, but it was a reaction to Erin Molan; it was not a proactive decision.

Yeah, its nowhere near as good as it used to be. It actually used to be full of former players which the name "legend" could be fairly well argued. Lately though, its just been a bunch of mediocre players barely even retired and a bunch of pointless celebrities who are there for nothing more than channel 9 cross promotion.

Hopefully, with its "relaunch" this year, it'll get back to what it used to be.

Those thoughts had certainly crossed my mind...

The only saving grace (potentially), is that the AFL now appear to actually have some sort of stake in it where they didn't previously. Given its there as a way to fill the void of a football-less week, I'm hoping they're looking for a slightly more football-oriented event than what it had evolved into.

The All-Star is actually pretty good. They haven't tried to overdo anything and it's a good all back to the Marlins logo.

OT and wasn't sure where else to post it but I think Josh Hill was expecting to be named captain of WCE before 2014.

This is a custom logotype I started sometime last year but unfortunately the client has since completely disappeared, so the upside is that I can now do what I want with it.

Heard that one a lot over the years, up there with the 'Puma to leave the AFL' rumor.

That said, given next year is a new start it wouldn't surprise me but Essendon seem the type to want to keep it because it has become a symbol to the fans recently.
