Where did you find that bottom one? To me it just feels like a mistake with overlays or something thats accidentally masked the bottom tips of the M.

Theres your answer then I reckon. Accidentally been cut off in the animation process.
EDIT: Here is a screenshot mid-animation. The logo has been separated into individual pieces to create the animation, but the exclusion area around the V part of the logo is too large, so when it all falls into place, it cuts off the M tips.

Don't see them in Adelaide anymore (might be the odd one still in country areas), but apparently still going strong in NZ!
None in Adelaide anymore. Would most likely be either an IGA, Foodworks or Friendly Grocer.

How would you be able to determine what language is what from the "M".
If there is a pictorial graphic for languages, it's the first I'm hearing about it.
