Man, doesn't that feel like a bit of childhood taken away! Never mind the fact that Maccas and Simpson (remember them?) were the sponsors when I was in Auskick. But the essence of the logo has been the same for 15+ years.

What was clever about the K's in the logo – mimicking a player kicking a footy – has been taken away. You feel like the re-designer of the logo wouldn't even have noticed those subtleties.

Yeah it was a stylised Maccas M in the shape of a footy bouncing twice from a kid kicking it

VicKick and VicCric are still around. http://viccric.com.au/ I used to go to these as a kid.
I've still got a group picture from when I was a kid. It has Merv Hughes and his kids in the pic as well.

Funny, I was thinking it looked wrong without Simpson as the sponsor. I'm pretty amazed that they haven't changed the Auskick logo until now.

Murdoch also approached the British clubs to form Super League. But it was never together with the ASL.
